Serene and tranqui under the stars - excellent (menu) breakfasts and a cosy fire in the makuti bar. Great local trek

Excellent service from Purity and the catering staff. The cottages are in a serene setting, and I loved being able to see Jupiter and her moons at night - Venus, too. The Lodge is well situated 3kms from the tarmac road and has good security. I came for star gazing, but I ended up enjoying day visits to The Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy and Ngara Ndare canopy walk, waterfall and lake. (Purity's Welsh husband was a very helpful Guide, who "went the extra mile". Great Gazpacho and Tirimasu!

Stay away from- this is scam (money lost)

Terrible customer service.
Booking on a popular platform and received confirmation. Payment was deducted from my account.
Then Owner contacted me and told me no rooms available and rates are not correct. No refund of money and not even trying to solve the problem.
Stay away and save your money- this is scam!

Serene environment, good staff , entitled owner

The fire place is amazing, the rooms and food are basic the staff are helpful. You get to sleep well in a peaceful serene environment and get to hear cricket sounds. Everything was all good until we had issues with paying with card because the machine had no network. Long story short, the owner Purity has a don't care attitude, feels entitled and does not care for customer's needs. We were told she doesn't care she wants to see the transaction reflected or we call her to explain while she was just sited in her house that is in the same compound. Also provide serviettes to your guests and ensure your cottages are well maintained. Nobody wants to pay to sleep with spiders, cob webs and snails. Cage your dogs as well and have someone at the gate. I

Fair price

Stopped by a few days ago and took a look. Did not stay the night. The staff I met were friendly. Peaceful compound. While it was a warm day the trees in the area kept the place cool. The rooms are partially traditional in design which is interesting. The price is low compared to other accommodation. USD 97 for a double for 2 nights. Seems fair.

AMAZING!!!

Had an amazing visit! The host is so nice and was so helpful! Everyting i asked for she helped me with and finally got fresh and healthy food!
She looked after our things while hiking for 4 days and! If you want an easy and reliable place this is it! I highly recommend!!!!!!
