Excellent hotel, perfectly located

We were very well welcomed at this hotel by a receptionist full of good recommendations. The room was large, very comfortable.
And above all, the hotel's location is absolutely ideal for visiting the city.

It was supposed to be two nights…

When we went to the hotel on the day of our arrival, Tom looked very sorry and told us diagonally across the street, "I can't stay here today because of a water problem, so I'm going to go to another hotel." I thought it was bad from the start, but when I returned to the hotel for breakfast the next day, Tom welcomed me with a very nice smile. Even after that, they upgraded us to use this room today because we would move our stuff around, and they recovered the hard and the soft. The staff were really nice people. Near the night market, the morning market is right in front of you. It was also a good hotel in terms of location.

Comfortable hotel, great manager. Hard to find, best to print & bring a map to ensure you can find it.

Myself, my wife and niece stayed 3 nights here. The first night did not go well. The problem started when our taxi dropped us off at the intersection of King Kitsalat Rd and Sisavangvong Rd. The reason was we had arrived after the night market had started which closes Sisavangvong Rd. The driver pointed in the general direction to go, but wasn't very specific. After asking several vendors and restaurant staff for directions to the hotel, one walked us to one alley short of where the hotel was. Next a hostel staff pointed us to the right alley. Our phones weren't working, so we couldn't call or use GPS to help. If this happens to you, walk NE on Sisavangvong, go past the large Indigo Hotel / Restaurant on your left. When you get to the white fences of Wat May Souvannapoumaram turn left down the alley and about 3/4 of the way you should spot the hotel sign on your right. From there on the stay was fine. Tom, the manager, goes out of his way to help you and provides a map with highlights of Luang Prabang noted on it. The room was large, there were 2 queen size beds which worked fine for the 3 of us. There was a small fridge and a safe for valuables. The bathroom has hot water in both the shower and the sink. The shower drain was extremely slow and more than once we were afraid the water would make it to the rest of the bathroom. Our windows had no screens, but had old fashioned shutters. On two mornings we were awakened at 4 AM when the temple next door did a 15 minute drum beating. Bicycles are available for free. There is no restaurant, however breakfast is served in the morning at tables on the front lawn. Be advised, in the winter the morning temperatures can dip to 40 degrees F, which makes for a very chilly breakfast. It would help if the hotel had patio propane heaters to chase some of the cold away. Overall the hotel is quite pretty and landscaped well, despite the poor start and a few drawbacks we did enjoy our stay.

Great hotel, fantastic location. Clean and Quiet

On arrival Tom was great and helped us to get settled in. The room was large and clean. There was a slight issue with the aircon (small drip) and Tom sorted this even before our first nights sleep. The hotel is super central but quiet.
You are just walking distance from the night market and Tom also helped arranging tours.

pleasant for city stay

Pleasant boutique bed and breakfast location in heritage villa centrally located in Luang Prabang night market area. The room was large, well equipped and comfortable, and breakfast service in the garden added to the experience. Front desk staff was helpful in finding ways around.
