Very nice hotel (and staff) for a short stay

With the family we wanted to spend a weekend in Luxemburg. Normally we stay closer to LUX airport but as the familiar places were fully booked and we also want to visit Parc Merveilleux in Bettembourg, Dudeland was a good alternative.
We booked the quadruple room via Booking.com and that was a swift process. The room is interesting (split level) but the children especially loved that. Since it's in the attic, there is no main window with a view but there's sort of a porthole on the ground level which offers an interesting view to the church nearby. For an overnight stay it's quite okay, for longer periods, it would be too small.
The room was clean and comfy, as was the bathroom (perhaps slightly outdated but still okay). Breakfast was not included but at EUR 12.00 per person very reasonably priced given what you got for the money. The price for the room itself was some EUR 145,00 which is in line with the market.
There's a larger parking area including 2 charging points very nearby, not sure of the costs because we arrived late on Saturday and Sunday was free of charge.

Worse service ever experienced

Really disappointing visit. We booked two rooms and asked if it was ok to arrive late. All was well and even called to confirm again the next day. Upon arrival nobody was at the hotel. After calling the excuse that we did not reply to an email, which was never send, was given. They would not come to let us in. We stood there on our journey to italy in the middle of the night with four kids. Absolute disgrace. The hotel also did not look propper and clean. Would not recommend this at all.

Just ok

Room was spacious, location was great, but our group of 4 was put on the top floor with only one tiny window that opened but did not allow for a breeze. It was extremely hot with no airflow. The smell coming from bathroom was absolutely horrendous, was nauseating.

Party & churchbells - no sleep

The Charbonnade hotel offers a bed, dicent breakfast and nice service minded owners - thats it. The room is small, screaming for a refurbishment. Location at first glance is nice but the cathedral 25 meters from the hotel has churchbells that are used every morning. Also noice from the bars outside of the hotel - hence sleep were limited.

Poor and inhuman staff

Worse than bad
Dirty bed with a black wipe on it.
Bathroom stank of sewers.
Room hot as hell! No air conditioning no fan.
Complained to the boss and got a big mouth when I reported this and asked for my money back I didn't get this! However, I still suggested to get half back but Madam found it necessary to scream!
We have finally left because it is also very
Noisy was from the people on the street partying!
