Very good stay in Essaouira, Wind of Dunes
A very nice place, tastefully redone that combines modern and old styles. A 20 minute walk from the medina by the seafront promenade: very pleasant walk!
The bedroom turned out to be an apartment consisting of 2 bedrooms, a large dressing room, a living room and a functional and well-equipped kitchenette.
Staff (managers and employees) very friendly, very professional, smiling and anxious to do well. An impression of work in keeping with the well-being of the holiday guests that we are. Extra breakfast with a special mention for delicious homemade cakes that are delicious and for the beautiful discovery that was hot milk semolina! As for massage treatment, we highly recommend: a ray of sunshine in a rainy day! Congratulations to all and good luck! Good to you!!!

/! Big moisture problem
/! Big humidity problem - room 2 on the ground floor (period: early February 2026)
I got sick the day after I arrived. A horrible night in extremely wet sheets and it was cold. I had asked for heating, I was provided with gas heating, and this type of heating produces moisture...and the heat did not change anything in the state of the bed. My condition deteriorated over the next few days. At my request, I was able to get another room from the 4th night, this time upstairs, which helped a little. Finally, as I had no choice but to vacate this room and return to room 2 for my last night, I decided to leave the hotel. The new hotel perfectly managed the humidity, the bed linen was dry.
>> Appropriate measures should have been put in place to ensure comfort and well-being. Otherwise, the customer must have been informed during the exchanges before booking. It is up to the customer, thus informed, to decide whether to book or choose another hotel.
>> The simplest measures to implement would have been to operate a dehumidifier and a heater (other than gas). These measures would have saved me from getting very sick and ruining my stay. The explanation was given only a few days ago: the electrical power was limited and the connection of the devices would have caused power outages.
I would like to stress the kindness of the staff.

Comme nous vous l'avons dit dans nos échanges précédents, nous vous renouvelons nos excuses si votre séjour chez nous n'a pas été à la hauteur de vos attentes.
L' atmosphère d'Essaouira est déjà chargée d'humidité en temps normal. Et début février a été particulièrement humide après un hiver extrêmement pluvieux à Essaouira.
Nous avons eu suite à ces nombreuses averses, des problèmes limitant notre capacité électrique pendant quelques jours, qui sont malheureusement tombés durant votre séjour chez nous. Désormais, ces problèmes sont réglés.
Nous n'avons pas pu changer votre chambre durant la totalité de votre séjour car l'hôtel était complet mais nous avons essayé de faire au mieux.
Nous sommes encore une fois désolés que cela n'ait pas été assez.

Very Disappointing
At the time of writing, this place is ranked on TripAdvisor as number 17 of hotels in Essaouira. We chose it partly because of this and partly because of a favourable mention in the Rough Guide. We could not have been more disappointed. We were shown to a room around the side of the building, the kind of room you'd expect in a cheap motel. Not nice at all. We had prepaid the room, but we chose not to stay. It is quite ridiculous that this place has a rank of 17, and there is something quite odd about it. We looked at three rooms in other hotels while searching for an alternative, Two of these hotels had a lower ranking, but all three rooms were far superior.

We are truly sorry that the room you booked was not to your liking. But we are even more sorry that you did not look at our photos or the detailed description of the room you chose when making your reservation. This would have allowed you to realize that we were not at all what you were looking for.
And this probably explains why you don't understand our rating and the reviews from other travelers who had no surprises when they discovered their accommodation, since they had carefully consulted either our website or Booking.com before making their reservation.
