Great stay

A nice place to stay in Imilchil.the food is tasty, the rooms are simple and clean. The hospitality is exceptional, the owner really makes you feel at home and helps the local community in different way... He is very knowledgeable about the area and Morocco in general and also works as a tour guide. The helpers/cooks are kind and sweet.

DIY hotel

Brick and bric hotel , bad lighting , no hot water in the showers, you have to cross the toilet bowl to access the shower , no electrical outlet in the rooms ........in short everything to the economy.
The 2 girls in charge of cooking and service are not taken into consideration by the boss. They must sleep in the living/dining room.
The boss says he has a master's degree in ecology / recycling and although he has 10 hectares near Marrakech he did not have financial support to build a waste reprocessing plant there.
So he takes care of his DIY hotel, a great mythomaniac.
Avoid it.

stay in November , no heating , freezing room 5 degrees in the morning..
To flee even if cheap.

Flee: dishonesty of the boss and outdated hotel

Coming for 1 night with 3 people to discover Imilchil, we negotiate the price of our room with the boss on the phone: it will be 250dirams or 25 euros with breakfast, hotel almost empty. After 1 horrible night: very very noisy hotel, bathroom with broken shower head, broken toilet seat, ceiling that crumbles during the shower, last bad news: the boss tells us that we have to pay an additional 90 dirams for the little lunches. The pompom! Flee this hotel and the dishonesty of the boss who speaks French very well but apparently without any memory. There were 3 of us who heard the price the day before. We of course paid not to make a scene. Please go your way

A great view on eco-tourism!

We spent a good couple of hours sipping coffee and tea on the shady terasse of this wonderful place. The owner is very friendly and knowledgable about his area and is helping to educate the people around Imilchil about solar energy. The hotel and the rooms look cosy and the atmosphere is very quiet and relaxed. If you want to learn about Imilchil and the progress in eco-tourism, definitely head this way.
