Stay in DoubleTree Hilton KL
Stayed in this hotel in the first week of July. Quite a good value for money stay for the hotel. Need to compliment a few staffs that helped made my stay comfortable.
1. Stayed in this hotel as it was my wife's birthday. We booked a room with mountain view but without any breakfast. When I first checked in, it was a bit disapoointing as there were no surprises at all. Rather it was only 2-days later when I approached the counter and I met Ms Ernatasha. She was excellent. I spoke to her and she immediately offered a few choices which I eventually chose breakfast for 2 at the hotelon my wife birthday. Thank you Ms Ernatasha. There is someone with the personal touch. Am very grateful.
2. Also I went to the Axis lounge on a couple of days. Really good to meet Zamri, who took my orders. He recommended some good drinks for me to wind down after a hectic day. Also good person to chat with when you are drinking. :)
3. Also need to compliment the staff who cleaned my room on the 27th floor. Never get to take his name down but he made sure that we have sufficeint water to drink everytime.
4. Went for my breakfast at the hotel. Have to admit that the spread was amazing. Very grateful to the two staffs Marsha and Zayanah. Brought us to the table and took our order. Thank you Marsha andZayanah for making my wife birthday a good one.

Weekend getaway from Bali
Stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur for one night on January 10, 2026, and had a very pleasant experience.
The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the staff were friendly from the moment I arrived. As expected, the warm DoubleTree cookie was a nice touch after a day of traveling.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a nice city view and everything I needed for a short stay. The bed was comfortable, and I had a restful night's sleep.
One detail I particularly appreciated was the bath amenities from Crabtree & Evelyn. I had previously stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai and was happy to find the same amenities here. The scent was refreshing and added a nice premium touch to the overall stay.
The location is convenient with direct access to Intermark Mall and easy transportation options around Kuala Lumpur. Breakfast offered a good variety of local and international selections, and the service throughout the hotel was consistently friendly and professional.
Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I would happily stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur again on my next visit to the city.

pleasant hotel, better sound insulation would be desirable
Arrival and check-in are a bit strange at first, the entrance area and front are on a busy, multi-lane road and overlook the city's business centre. The hotel is really in the middle of a very lively mall, with taxis and graves constantly rushing across the driveway. A desk for a doorman at the driveway is available, but never occupied. So you have to balance your luggage into the colorful shopping area and manage an escalator with it. The reception is then located in the open atrium on the right, that there would also be a separate check in for member on the other side (also largely unoccupied), you only find out when you are looking for the lift to the rooms.
Our check In anyway was not the kindest, consisted of long, silent staring into the computer, and just barely the most necessary word when the lady wanted a signature. Sorry, no points for that.
At least you got the luggage taken here and didn't have to bring it to the room yourself.
The room was perfectly fine, pleasantly spacious and beautifully designed with a small couch in front of large panoramic windows. A view of residential development and greenery, not to the street area, but with the MRT line directly below, which passes above ground here. And the trains were really annoyingly loud at night, so the windows seem to be ancient and poorly sound-insulating.
Otherwise all good, the beds very pleasant, a nice, bright bathroom, wide glass shower.
The location is not bad for KL, once you have found your way around the mall, you discover that you can even enter the Skywalk, which leads directly via the multi-lane roads to the nearest metro station of KL Rapid, directly from the inside, you do not walk to the station for 5 minutes.
To get to KLCC Park at Petronastowers, it's a stop to drive - or about a 20 minute walk. You can also easily get anywhere else with KL Rapid, because overall the worth seeing points of the city are very scattered.
In the mall itself you get everything - from the large, well-stocked supermarket to numerous restaurants and cafes to the pharmacy is provided for daily needs.
We had Executive booked and also had breakfast in the lounge. While the lounge itself seems a bit old-fashioned and should be renovated here and there (especially the carpeting), the atmosphere was largely pleasant. Just for breakfast very quiet and you really didn't have to miss anything - from miso soup to hot curry dishes, breads, good cheese and a nice fruit selection was everything there. The egg dishes or fresh waffles are available a la carte.
Afternoon tea time and from 17:30 - 19:30 wine, a few cocktails and food are offered. The food, at least, goes well beyond the usual finger food, there is really a lot to offer here, including various hot dishes and soups. The service is friendly and fast, but a dress code is apparently not expected or at least not controlled. The lounge is only open until 8pm. Special treat was a small balcony (for smoking) with direct views to the Petronas towers.

Friendly staff, central location, and good recovery action post power outage.
I want to compliment the DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur team. During check-in, Ms. Erna was excellent and confirmed me of a room upgrade that was accorded to Diamond member. Thanks.
The warm cookie at arrival was a nice touch which is a usual signature of every Double Tree hotel brand. My room on the 17th floor had great city views and was clean.
During my stay on 14 February 2026, a power outage occurred around 3am and lasted until checkout. The corridors dark, lifts functioning, and breakfast at Makan Restaurant served in dim natural light only.
The staff however deserve my respect. They tried and still served even in the dark with a torchligh or their phone light. They still prepared the hot dish and egg even in hot condition without AC.. It was a challenging time indeed and I was informed this was the first such incident ever since the hotel started.
However, I would like to highlight about the communication during such big incidents. Communication was poor despite app chat and WhatsApp options. I had to text repeatedly just to get the information of why there is no electricity during my stay. I checked almost every two hours for updates. This was not convenient for a guest.
Suggestion: Train staff on proactive updates during issues. Use the Hilton app for real-time alerts to all guests.
I compliment their remedial recovery options. I was offered a recovery points to compensate my point redemption stay.
At the Executive Lounge, trainees Ms. Chaya and her colleague were very helpful and attentive. The food and service is good.

Best option for Hilton Honors Gold & Diamond members
One thing that stood out when Hilton Honors elite members can expect at DoubleTree by Hilton KL is that they really put effort in recognizing Gold and Diamond members when staying to a point where they even have a queue just for these VIP tier members.
As a Diamond member and business traveller, I absolutely enjoyed my stay at DTHKL. They offer a great value for money and a pleasant stay. Highly recommended for business travellers looking for an accommodation within Kuala Lumpur city centre area. Also, it's best to spend your points here too!
Will definitely visit again. Oh, by the way, they have arcade games at the restaurant hahaha that was a fun surprise. Breakfast buffet is remarkably comprehensive. I'm just impressed. I also love where it's located; inside The Intermark. Want to go for an outdoor jog? Sure, it's in KLCC area anyways.
I do have one very annoying experience: while I was working out at the gym, one of the staff told me to turn my music (from my phone) volume down even when there were nobody else around and nobody complained about it. I even read the rules of the gym, it never mentioned anything about loud music (let alone played from a phone and not a speaker). It was truly unpleasant. Additionally, the gym is located right next to a function room, so business guests will see you in your gym attire and smell you as you enter and exit the gym.
Because of this unpleasant experience I faced with the staff, I'm deducting their rating by one star. Please educate your staff about this or at least include it in the rule that music is not allowed to be played. Gosh.
