Not the top class hotel but still one of the best in town

Not the top class hotel but still one of the best in town, typical sheraton standard, everything is alright, we had good rest in the hotel. swimming pool is boring and small but still a good place to relax.

This was a pleasant surprise. A well kept facility with modern elements in the room. The only issue was the AC not truly cooling the room.

Insult

​recently stayed at the Sheraton Kuching and experienced a series of unacceptable incidents that fell far below the standard expected of a premium Marriott property.
​The stay was impacted by serious safety and hygiene hazards, including a dangerous incident involving scalding water and a concerning hygiene regarding hotel technician conduct. When these issues were brought to management’s attention, the response was marked by an extended period ( 3 weeks ) of silence and a lack of accountability.
​Even after escalating this matter directly to Marriott’s Corporate Office of Consumer Affairs, the final resolution offered was a nominal gesture of 10,000 points at start—a figure that fails to reflect the gravity of the safety risks and service failures endured.
​I am sharing this experience as a warning to future guests. Both the property management and corporate leadership have demonstrated that they are not equipped to handle serious guest safety and service complaints with the seriousness they deserve. Travelers seeking a safe and professional environment should proceed with caution when considering this property.
Paid premium rates at @SheratonKuching only to experience severe service failures. Worse, Trying to buy off a month of silence with a cheap 20k points offer isn't a 'service recovery'—it's an insult.

Wonderful Sheraton Kuching

I would have given 5 stars for facilities if the swimming pool was slightly bigger. Otherwise, the other aspects regarding the hotel is 5 star.....1) great location with easy walking distance to the river, local food restaurants, 2) Approx 20 minutes from the airport, 3) friendly staff, 4) very nice & well-designed room, 5) overall cleanliness. In all our trips to Kuching, we have stayed at another hotel up in the hill but after this trip, Sheraton will be our default choice. The hotel also tied up with a massage place next door, so it's only 5 minutes walk if you need a good massage after a busy day touring Kuching.

Great stay but post sales service is very poor

I have delayed my positive review of the hotel (yes, it is great, highly recommended) because I was waiting for a refund following a simple miscommunication error regarding some charges. Having raised the issue a day after we left and several times since then and despite escalating this to the parent company Marriott Bonvoy, nothing has happened for over 7 weeks. I consider this extremely disappointing given the excellent customer service we recieved while we were there and the quality of the hotel.
