DIY BBQ is the best!!!
I was able to go to the beach right in front of me and spend a relaxing time.
The DIY BBQ meat was also very soft and delicious! It was a great memory because you can't do BBQ on the beach very often

Excellent!
Generally very good food, both breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Very good location “on the beach” and with short walking distance to shops, restaurants and more.
The rooms are probably ready for some renovation afterwards but contained everything we needed. The overall experience was so good that we want to give top score.

A piece of paradise that we highly recommend!
We opted for the "Gateway Package" for 5 nights which includes: a Beachfront Studio Suites room with breakfast, 2 beach dinners, 1 massage session at the Spa and a free AR transfer to/from the airport. And to be honest, we did not regret because everything was perfect.
Our Suite is very spacious and very well appointed with a huge bathroom (large shower + bathtub) and it gives direct access to the beach with deckchairs in front of the room. Two free bottles of water are offered daily with a fresh fruit basket.
Breakfast is very varied and hearty (buffet + a menu with a choice of Western and Asian dishes) with a bonus kiosk that serves fresh fruit on demand by a waiter!
The two beach dinners (included in our package) were memorable moments to watch the sunset and dine on the white sand. The dishes (starter + main course + dessert) are very well presented, refined and hearty (a big bravo to the Chef!) and it was a treat and a moment of happiness.
The massage at Spa Satkara (60 minutes) was a moment of relaxation and relaxation. We liked it so much that we took an extra session (paid in this case) to get pampered more.
The walk on the beach is a great moment of pleasure and there is no shortage of activities (for a fee) (jet ski, parasailing, boat trip to the island opposite, etc.). And we were entitled to cold towels and fresh water from a waiter who distributes all these little happiness to guests who laze on deckchairs.
► In conclusion:
We had a very toning, romantic and unforgettable stay in a very well maintained and quiet establishment, far from these huge impersonal and noisy concrete resorts with mass tourism.
Our only regret is having to leave this endearing piece of paradise so quickly, but we will definitely come back. Go without hesitation, you will not regret because like us, you will keep an unforgettable memory of your holiday in Langkawi.

Location top, very clean, fine food, friendly staff!
The location was top, also an ideal starting point for small excursions, such as the nearby Langkawi Sky-Bride. For short excursions into the nearby nature you could also rent bikes in the hotel.
Not to forget the fantastic sunsets and the fine food right on the beach.
The Casa del Mar we can highly recommend!

Older hotel - current prices due to the need for modernization, etc. in own estimation too high
- Direct beach location
- Relatively small hotel
- Beautiful outdoor area/garden
- Very friendly; helpful staff
- daily small attentions such as cold water, fruit skewers, etc.
- Cats are tolerated/fed
Cons:
- Relatively old building fabric/furnishing resulting in a major backlog of modernization (especially bathrooms with discolored/moldy joints, etc.), significant signs of wear
- Rooms smell inside partially
- at the left end of the hotel beach bar with loud open-air music at night
- at the right end of the hotel access by jet ski providers (morning and evening)
Conclusion: Need for modernization; overall too expensive!!
