Best stay, hotel, and customer service
The level of customer service was comparable to a five-star hotel. Rooms were cleaned daily, water and instant coffee were replenished whenever needed, and the staff were always happy to help. They would even provide golf cart transportation to and from the surf, help carry boards, and place them on the rack after sessions. Are these things necessary? No. But the staff genuinely and happily go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
The restaurant serves delicious food with fast service, and the spa is fantastic. I treated myself to several massages during my stay, and guests receive a discount at the spa, which was a great bonus.
The rooms are spacious, have plenty of storage, reliable Wi-Fi for remote work, and include a refrigerator for snacks and leftovers. Honestly, I have zero complaints and would highly recommend staying here.
As a female surfer, I spent nearly two weeks at Funplace on my own and felt completely comfortable. The entire staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. I also appreciated not staying at one of the typical surf hotels, which meant I wasn't surfing with 10–20 of the same guests every session.
The location is ideal—about a 7-minute walk to Jails, which served as a nice warm-up and cool-down before and after my 5-hour surf sessions, and only a 1-minute walk to the harbor for boat trips. The surf boats are large, modern speedboats, which was especially appreciated when storms rolled through.
Overall, Funplace strikes the perfect balance between comfort, convenience, and genuine hospitality. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to surfers, couples, families, digital nomads, and solo travelers alike.

Exceptional Hospitality on the Island
We were even lucky enough to receive a free room upgrade during our stay which was so kind!!
I honestly have no complaints at all. The rooms were very clean, the WiFi worked excellently, and they even had Netflix on the TV.
Overall, a 10/10 experience. I highly recommend FunPlace Hotel to anyone looking for an amazing island stay.
