Pretty Bay appartment

We had the penthouse suite. Very comfortable and the air conditioning was great. All amenities included.*****.Top floor must have the best seaview in the town. The Feast' was noisy but a great spirit around the town over 4 days (?) Mesmerised by the container port. Watching the containers being moved and ships leaving was like a game of Tetra. Didn't hinder the stay at all. Nicely out of town and away from Valetta,slightly off the UK holidaymakers radar, which is pleasant. Our host, Manuel was fab.

The apartment is depicted much better on the site than it actually is.

The description of this apartment on the booking.com site is absolutely incorrect. It is suggested that there is a separate bedroom, but the double bed is in the living room (see photos). The photos on the site are taken so cleverly (?) that you do not see this. The bunk bed is in a niche, as large as the bunk bed itself (see photo).
Don't expect an apartment with 4 stone walls. Part of it is made of aluminum, so it gets very warm when the sun shines on it.
Furthermore, it is dirty, there were cockroaches in the kitchen, the sofa is very sagging (see photo) and the kitchen is poorly equipped.
The apartment is located on the top floor of an unmaintained complex. The stairwell is dirty and there is rubbish on the stairs.
There is a lamp above the front door of the apartment, but it does not work. In the dark you have to open the house door by touch.
In short: it seems that no maintenance has been done in this building and in this apartment for years.
Please also note the following: cleaning costs 150 euros per booking, so if you book 1 night it will be very expensive for this apartment.

Not worth the money

It was advertised as a two bedroom apartment. Not the case
Its a studio with a double bed in the living room and a cell like bedroom (no picture of this) containing bunk beds
Got an award in 2015 and not done any improvements or upgrades since
Very run down
Paid nearly £100 a night ....not worth the money
No promised welcome pack
No bath mats
Toilet broken
Mosquito blood spattered on the wall behind the double bed in the living room
The list goes on and on
Tried to make a complaint with booking.com but they were not interested even though we sent them pics and a list of complaints

Disappointing

Positive - fantastic location
Negative - advertised as a 2 bedroom apartment so expected 2 separate bedrooms but the double bed is in the living area with no privacy. There is a small room with bunkbeds which resembles a prison cell. The apartment could do with updating but is fairly well equipped. The lift was broken for 4 days and the kettle leaked causing the power to trip out. The owner didn't respond to messages. A welcome pack was promised but not provided. Personally wouldn't stay again

Disappointing

First impression of apartment was good. It was advertised as a 2 bedroom apartment. The layout of the apartment was poor. The main bedroom was in the main area with no privacy. The second bedroom was ok. There was torrential rain on one of the days that we were there. The rain water leaked in through the bathroom and the frame was rattling from the wind. It also leaked into the 2nd bedroom. Overall very disappointed with our stay.
