Clean and Quiet

Clean and quiet. Our room opened onto the inner courtyard with a sliding glass door, there is no window. AC worked well, the bathroom was quite large, lots of hot water. The room was very small with nowhere to sit except on the bed. A few chairs along the balcony above the courtyard would be nice. Across the street from ADO bus and collectivo stop. A couple of minutes walk to the waterfront with all its restaurants, beach clubs and entertainment.

Smelly and small

We booked a double room for 2 nights. The room was smelly and got no window. But a double glass door faces to the inner courtyard. Everyone is able to watch in your room if you do not use the curtains. The room is small and there are no capabilities to put clothes or anything else.

A good choice when visiting Mahahaul

MX Lindo Hotel did not have a table or chairs in the room. Bureaus were the cheap kind that the draws want to fall out when you pull them open. No windows in our room. Had to use AC and it did not want to work right even when we asked the desk person for help. TV only had a dozen channels and none of them in English. The bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was tiled and the shower worked well. There
was no safe in the room. Did not like that our keys laid out on the front desk where anyone could pick up and go to your room. On the plus side the hotel was only a couple of doors from the ADO bus, fresh juice stand, bakery and the beach. They did close the front doors at night.

Small rooms, musty smell, price too high

We booked this hotel last minute over Christmas when all our first choices in Mahahual were full. While the reviews were good, the hotel was much less impressive once we checked in. We opted for an "Junior Suite" which is a very high $100/night and not worth it. There are many other options in town (if you book ahead - even on Christmas). The large bed was a plus, but it filled the room so there was no space to open a suitcase. The room also had a bad smell, so we asked to change rooms. The new room was not much better smell wise. Beyond that, there was free secure parking next door, the wifi works fine and the staff are very nice, but there is no breakfast which you would hope for at that price. I noted that not one other room on the ground floor was occupied. Not one. Hmmm, perhaps others know something I didn't until now.
Would not stay here again.
