A rustic hotel that looks like a palace.

At the time of arrival and check inn I was treated with friendliness, I love the rustic and boutique hotels, the location is great near the cathedral and many points of interest, But the restaurant that is in the middle of the hotel is impressive, I like even for a masquerade ball, the food is delicious, the coffee and chocolate I recommend as well as its chilaquiles and desserts, comfortable room, very padded bed and spacious bathrooms. I want to thank for the attention they gave me forget a Neceser and did me the favor of taking it to obvious package at my own expense , as it was forgotten mine, those attentions and that confidence makes return and recommend.

The hotel needs renovation, rooms old, tubs dirty, the room have an aircondition unit but they said they could not find the remote to turn them on. Terrible appearance! I booked a whole week, but I could not stay in this hotel, I had to pay for another one.

I returned to Santiago de Queretaro after 4 years and everything was thank God

The first surprise, which I took, was that when looking for the number (the taxi driver left me a block down), because the street was closed, since there were artisans installed, was that the hotel of this trip, is next to the previous one where I was staying 4 years ago! ( Hotel Hidalgo, the oldest in all of Queretaro (1825)! What a pleasant surprise! 200 years.. nothing more
Since I entered the property, I was surprised by the palace.. a beautiful historic building (I appreciate the architecture and history).. so from there, we started well
Well, the reception was positive: the young receptionist was friendly from my arrival and during my stay, always with a smile and very good treatment and kindness
Relatively fast was the check-in process, as I just waited, because before there was a family
Arriving at my assigned room, everything I loved: the views, the doorthe name.. and when entering... Everything was even more positive: I loved the ceiling decor and the most pleasant surprise was; knowing that I had a hot tub (I love steam ♨️ and hot tub). Excellent (a great reason to come back).. I am a frequent user and also that not only had air conditioning but also ceiling fan.. working (all perfect)..
At first I thought there were no personal products and I was glad to have taken my miniatures! Haha
Another positive surprise was to see that the TV, the screen if it was working (usually although there seems to be pay TV service).. there is never anything.. there are plenty of examples and this time, in this hotel .. it was the opposite (I only turned it on an hour)..

The accommodations were beautiful. It’s different from what I am used to because of no AC, but still a beautiful stay and delightful staff.
Ricardo Viñas was so kind and helpful to us, and my wife and I were thankful for his service.

Beautiful colonial hacienda right downtown centro with wonderful staff and daily housekeeping. There is a wonderful restaurant, El Candil, in the rear of the building and tranvia tour sales at the front entrance. Prime location in the historical downtown.
