Excellent Family Run Hotel

I always stay at the Costa Brava for many reasons. Nice clean hotel, owners and staff are mega friendly, great location, quite and they have a very nice garden, and if you are a diver just walk across the street and there is a nice dive shop, Paradise Divers. Close to downtown, walking distance. I have stayed at Costa Brava many times and have never had anything bad to say about it, only 100% positive.

Decent budget hotel

This hotel is pretty basic, but delivers what it promises: clean, friendly economy lodgings at a very convenient location. We especially appreciated that most (but not all) rooms overlook a nice courtyard like area so are reasonably quiet for downtown. We did have a car, and contrary to an earlier post they have about six parking spots and the manager and security guy were very helpful making sure we had one each time we came in. Wi-fi is so/so but you can get on Alberto's if you have some food there and it is excellent.

Budget accommodations with some limitations

One of the reasons we selected this hotel was free parking; however there is room for one or two scooters and two cars and that is it. Also, the owner or someone affiliated with the hotel has a HUGE vehicle that takes over half the available space, so every time we wanted to park we had to go get him to move the vehicle and then fold the mirrors in on ours and try and get in off a busy street - not pleasant. Wi-fi was iffy and only worked about 1/3 of the time. Very old, dated room although reasonably clean, a bit musty. Super loud air conditioner. Restaurants within walking distance. You can hear street noise at all hours. Overall, a safe budget accommodation with limitations.

Divers stay here!

This is a very basic,clean and quiet hotel. There is a restaurant that plays music at the entrance but we never heard anything as our room was about halfway back.I would rather spend my money diving so the price was just right for our budget.
My only complaint is that we requested a 2pm check out(checkout time was 1pm) so we could do our morning dive and come back and shower. there were plenty of empty rooms but we were not allowed to stay so we had to pack all of our stuff up and have the dive shop hold on to it..which Eco Divers gladly did for us..
