if one has a rental car, guarded parking is available. on the outskirts from the city center, but easy to get to.

Only if it is your last choice, but even though try other places | Aunque sea el último hotel, traten otro lugar
We stayed there for the new year's eve and some days after. The reservation was not clear and they over charge ~US$100 for night, being sincere they should not charge more than a motel, it is way under City Express or Holiday Inn express services (shuttles, internet), facilities (washing service, hair dryer, iron board), and services (not included breakfast) and they charge a lot more. In downtown you can find nice boutique hotels for less of what you'll be charged here, it is far away from downtown and you'll need to move by taxi to get to the touristic attractions. There was a lady in the reception that was pretty rude but the overall personal was kind. However they did not clean the room one day and we arrived there by 6:00 p.m. The bathroom is nasty and does not have natural air flow coming in, only a tiny, dusty, noisy fan. In regular season I would not pay more than US$ 30 for a night.
La estancia bien en general, pero llegamos para año nuevo y nos cargaron muchísimo por el cuarto $2,000 por noche y la verdad es un rollo de tipo motel que de hotel de un precio así. La recepcionista del turno de la noche algo grosera, el personal en general bien. La zona del hotel es al lado del mercado popular del sur de San Cristóbal y no esta muy amigable para caminar como turista, muy ruidoso, esta a distancia no caminable del centro (se necesita taxi todo el tiempo). Por lo que cobra este hotel pueden reservar con tiempo algo lindo en el centro. Detalles culturales es que advierten que no dejes nada en la habitación pero no hay caja fuerte. Dejas las maletas en recepción y no dan contraseña, no vi una caja de seguridad así que cuidado. Finalmente solicite una factura de la estancia hace 4 días y pienso que nunca va a llegar, por lo que quizá tampoco es buena opción ni como hotel de negocios (de mercado).

Mixed bag
Let me start by saying that the staff at this hotel is incredibly helpful and friendly, we had a couple of odd timing requests, and they accommodated us nicely. The staff are the reason our rating is not lower.
We left it late to book our hotel during our visit to San Cristobal, and Hotel Azulejos was the only option available during the new year period. That should give you a hint of the problems that this hotel has.
The location is the main issue, it is not in the centre of town, it is right next to the market, surrounded by noisy shops and traffic. The main problem for us was the noise, the market next door was playing music incessantly, and on the morning of the 31st we were awoken by incredibly loud music at 7.30 am.
The other main problem is management of resources, while the staff is very nice, it is clear that the hotel is seriously under-staffed. Breakfast was painfully slow most days, and thankfully we had planned ahead and this did not affect our tours. One morning there was only one other family being served ahead of us, and it still took 40 minutes to get the food to our table. The cleaning staff is ridiculously small, our rooms were not cleaned until around 6pm, when we were back from our tours and wanting to rest before dinner, so for 3 days we just told them to give us fresh towels. The cleaning ladies were apologetic, but told us that there were only 3 cleaners for 40+ rooms.
This is a last resort hotel, only to be tried if you have nowhere else to go.

Noisy is an understatement
I have to say that the staff were great but the hotel stay was terrible, based on its location.
There is a Mercado right next door and for some reason (the locals say its all year round) they like to shoot off fireworks at all hours of the night.
The hotel itself also has no sound proofing and has a very loud speaker playing dance music (of which all you hear is "THUMP, THUMP, THUMP" and vibrating walls) until midnight. The staff was kind enough to turn it down to a low thud...thud...thud.
Because of the taxis using a car alarm notification system to let people walking by know they are available, it was impossible to actually sleep after a day of walking around the city.
My wife and I actually had gotten sick and the staff was wonderful about helping out so they are great, its just the location.
