Nice, quaint hotel - clean and the staff is great - I recommend Hotel Don Quijote in San Cristobal

Nice, quaint hotel, not a block of the walk way where there are a ton of restaurants and bars.
The staff is friendly and will go our of their way to help you.
If you want an enjoyable place to stay at a great price, this is the hotel

could not recommend it at the moment

as others have said, whilst this hotel is clean and well placed, it is rather basic, the walls are thin and in some of the rooms you need to be Tarzan with ropes to be able to move around. Furthermore there is building work going on next door now with the relevant noise from 7 in the morning making for a rather rude awakening. Whilst there is free coffee available in the morning, there is no breakfast availability

WRONG PLACE

This one is located pretty close to the main Ave. Since San Cristobal has a nice chilly weather most of the year, you don’t really need AC. So I choose this one and although they treat you really good, I think I wouldn’t go back. To start with, rooms are absolutely small. If you want to connect two or three devices at the same time, then you have to ask for a multi outlet device. I don’t remember quite good but I think there is only one two-outlet. That’s no good. The shower head was rusted, Looked dirty, old.. well, I did not like it. Hot water good! Hot enough, no matter what time of the day. This is the best part I think.
Good things to say about is that there is free coffee available in the morning and water for refilling your bottles.

Very nice hotel

Don Quijote is a nice place, with really nice staff.
The rooms are a little small, with no room to move, and no soundproofing at all, you can hear whenever someone is walking in the corridors, this did not however disturb our sleep.
Other than that I have only positive things to say. Clean rooms, warm water, and they offer a little cheaper price for 2 persons using a 4 person room ( I think all rooms are with double beds ).
Complimentary coffee in the morning, which is always nice since San Cristobal de las Casas is very cold.
The hotel is located in a VERY nice area, a lot of small restaurants and cafe´s within walking distance, and the main square is just a couple of block away.
They even offered us parking in their other hotel a few block away when our rented minibus was to big to fit in their parking.
It was a pleasant visit.

Good location

Stayed here one night. Good location close to centro. Affordable prices but really small rooms. Hotel generally in good condition and pretty clean. Recomendable considering the price and the location. Parking available.
