do NOT stay here!!!

Rated this 5/5 so it doesn't disappear, but wouldn't even give it a 0/5. Please pay attention to the negative reviews before staying here. Wouldn't recommend anybody stays here. We were a group of 4 girls & felt unsafe during our 2 day stay here (it was originally supposed to be a 4 day stay). There were armed "cops" walking around the halls with automatic rifles at all hours. The rooms had ZERO amenities listed on the listing - no toilet paper, no shampoo/body wash, no coffee maker, no working elevator, a/c not cooling, no onsite parking (all was taken by the armed "cops"... it had a table and beds with HORRIBLE pillows. We also found a bug in one of the beds, unsure what kind it was. The listing also said they offered breakfast, it wasn't even mentioned at the time of check in. They also wanted to charge us extra despite paying $1200 dollars for 4 nights (because of the World Cup), the hotel/room/location/place in general wasn't even worth $20 dollars a night. We tried talking to the manager multiple times and conveniently she was never in. Multiple Uber drivers made comments about them knowing exactly that place and not recommending anyone staying here, seems like the locals know something the tourists don't. Ended up going to a Holiday Inn for the last 2 nights and were soooooo thankful to leave this place WITHOUT a refund from this horrible establishment, mind you. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR & STAY AWAY!

Very outdated and not clean.
Staff were friendly and helpful for the most part. Breakfast was nice which included pancakes, hashbrowns with Mexican breakfast items. It was delicious.
The ac stopped working on our second night (living area doesn't have one, only in the bedroom) and there were water dripping on the wall from it. One staff came, said repair person will come the next day and didnt offer to switch our room so we asked. They gave us much smaller room (claiming it's the same type) than what we paid for, and in there water was dripping from the ceiling and floor was wet. Different staff came and asked if we wanted to go back to our old room. We said no and they gave us another room which was still smaller than the original one but it was OK except that blinds were broken and very dirty.
The pool, it's in the middle of the lobby and looks more like a decorative pond. My kids who love going in the water didnt want to swim in there.
It was easy to call Uber to get around and there are a few restaurants within walking distance but no other shops to buy water or anything nearby. There is a supermarket within walking distance but the road was a little rough and it takes good 10 min to walk.
I do not recommend this hotel at all. I chose it for the suites with separate living area but there is no clean feeling you get from hotels and the layout is just awkward. The kitchen has pots and cooking utensils but they're very old and you wouldn't want to cook there.

IT COULD BE BETTER

CENTRAL, COMFORTABLE, PLEASANT, AND SPACIOUS, BUT WE WENT AS A GROUP and several did not have their room cleaned, and if they requested cleaning, they took the trash and left it outside the room; I hope they improve that as I read it is a constant issue.

Really cool boutique style hotel.
Not the typical cookie cutter spot that you're used to.
Really good cafés nearby as well.

Great experience in gdl!

They are very spacious rooms with their bathrooms we loved the whole family!!
It has everything you need room and
Dining room and kitchen with all the utensils for a long stay!
