The house of Gabriel

The Ilha de Mozambique is an extraordinary place worth visiting.
In addition we had a very special guide, Gabriele himself who, in addition to hosting us in his beautiful house, accompanied us in person to visit the island, making us discover all the most significant and relevant aspects. A highly recommended experience, not to be missed.

Perfect

perfect and very pleasant stay. Gabriele is a kind and helpful person, always willing to help and give the best advice. central and modern location, convenient for getting around the island and for excursions. I absolutely recommend staying at this property

Very nice place in Ilha

Gabriele was a great host and Mimi makes the best mango juice ever! The braskfast is delicious. The rooms are cute and the pool is perfect! We will defnetily come back. Gabriele gave us many tips of the Island.

Beautiful restored mansion

A boutique hotel in an old restored mansion, with very tasteful interior decoration. You can relax in a boat sofa, or in the deck chairs of the terrace, overlooking the mosque and the sea, with excellent sunset views. Every room is unique, but all equally beautiful. You can buy water, beer and espresso at supermarket prices, and service is excellent.
No English is spoken by the staff, although this creates far less problems than you might think.

Charming but dissapointing

Charming nicely restored old building with comfortable rooms. A bit far from the tourist areas, but you walk around all day anyway, so not that much of a problem. Did have a problem with the fact that there was no wifi at all for the duration of our stay, no water for one night and no hot water the other two and a day without any power. The host was there to welcome us, but left the next morning and was away during the rest of our stay. We specifically looked for an hotel with wifi as we had a lot bank transactions to be done during our stay. Yes, I understand it is an island but if you offer water, power, wifi etc. and charge guests accordingly then backup plans should be in place.
