Beautiful and friendly place to stay

Charming guest house right in the heart of Maputo. It’s in an ideal location — just a short walk from the beautiful Botanical Garden and the iconic Cathedral. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a truly personal touch.
Celia, the host, is incredibly friendly and goes out of her way to make guests feel at home. The food is delicious and full of local flavor !
If you’re looking for a cozy, authentic place with great hospitality and a perfect central location, this guest house is a fantastic choice. Highly recommend!

Unfortunate episode

Unfortunately I had a bad experience, partly due to our negligence, but that cannot happen in a facility, that is, I was the victim of an unpleasant thing and unfortunately the reaction of the director was not quite that
That I expected, I wanted at least an apology for the unfortunate episode, so it doesn't work that way around here.

Warm hospitality and excellent service at Palmeiras Guesthouse

I had a fantastic stay at Palmeiras Residencial in Maputo in August and September 2025. Célia and her team were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my visit, making me feel right at home. Staying at the Palmeiras Guesthouse was a memorable experience, thanks above all to Célia, the heart and soul of the place. Her warmth, generosity, and genuine care for her guests go far beyond what you normally expect from a host.
The food at dinner was another highlight — delicious, fresh meals that you can pre-order the day before. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy authentic, home-cooked flavors during your stay. The breakfasts were also a daily treat, with a generous array of choices including fresh fruits, pasteis de nata, bread, cheese, 6 sorts of jam, cereals, samosas, yogurt, cake, good coffee. Everything was fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented.
Célia also helped arrange a reliable driver and put us in touch with Egas, our local guide, who was excellent — knowledgeable, friendly, and professional.
A great place to stay if you're looking for comfort, great service, and a personal touch in Maputo! Keep the good work, dear Célia.

Home away from home in bustling Maputo

Superb olde worlde charm at this fantastically located owner run guesthouse in the quiet Government area of Maputo
Celia and her staff are amazing, as is the breakfast buffet,which must rate in the top ten in Africa

A real gem! Loved it

Fabulous boutique hotel in so many ways! Great location 5 mins walk from the Cathedral and other monuments or 10 min from downtown. Very warm, friendly staff, absolutely amazing buffet breakfast included (best Ive had in more than 3m travelling in Africa), well decorated rooms, comfy bed, great shower and very secure. Pool and small gym room too. Celia booked our transport to Tofo for us - door to door. Great part of town too - we loved our stay!
