Quirky Transnistria Hotel

We traveled to this hotel in a large group of 12 people. We had six different rooms booked out - and they were all incredibly different! We had a lot of fun taking a "tour" to each of our (very different) rooms. We knew this would be a quirky, interesting hotel - and actively chose to stay here, over a "normal" hotel. The staff spoke English, and we had no issues whatsoever. We only wish we were able to enjoy the pool facilities - we will need to come back in summer!
Cons - The location didn't seem walkable to very many places. Breakfast was quite small.

Scammers

I booked a room for three people and upon arrival they offered us a room with a double bed and a cot. After that, they offered us another one with a bed and a sofa, but paying more money. They are scammers.

Stay there only if you are desperate for a pool!

Go there only if you are desperate for a pool!
This is not a hotel, rather a recreation centre with a pool and a bar.
We requested double beds and were assigned very basic rooms with twin beds. After negotiating, I was upgraded to a fair room, but with stuffed birds which I could very well have done without.
Furthermore, this property is very far from the city centre, in unattractive surroundings.
It is overpriced for the quality you get

recommended

Go for it. Sure there's a language barrier if you don't speak Russian, but in Transnistria, where are you going to find someone who knows your language? .. bring your dictionary.
Clean room. Friendly staff. Breakfast consisted of eggs and toast (not impressive).
Location is not the greatest either. Higly recommended for all other categories!!
They were renovating the water park sauna area as of April 2014, so we could not use those facilities.

Friendly, affordable

Upon arriving to the hotel I was quickly checked in and given the key to my room (even with the language barrier!). The room was cozy and the refrigerator was stocked with champagne. Breakfast was included in the room price and was very tasty. I recommend a Russian Omelette anytime! The location around the hotel was so so but the hotel was kept clean and nice. I liked the hospitality of the hotel staff. The housekeeping could have been slightly improved. All in all, a good place to stay.
