Great location, but the price-performance ratio is not right.
The room size is very good – but unfortunately our windows were drafty! That means you can hear the street, and since the harbor is a few meters next to the hotel, you can also hear the nightly parties on the yachts.
We pointed out the drafty window to the reception, and an alternative was immediately sought. We were allowed to view another room, but the window was drafty there as well. The maintenance worker who was called to repair the window just said that they were aware of the problem. Practically all the windows are drafty. Effective repairs could likely only be made in the fall.
A reduction in price or any kind of attention from the hotel was ruled out upon request.
Unfortunately, the shower door could not be closed well enough – at least there were enough towels to dry the wet floor.
Also worth mentioning negatively is the housekeeping, which is completely inattentive. We were out from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the first day. When we returned, our room had not yet been made up. Only upon request was the room made up and supplies replenished.
Breakfast is taken on the 6th. floor. The view is magnificent. The buffet is very extensive, fresh, and delicious. The bar on the ground floor is very good, nicely air-conditioned, and the snacks were also very good.
Conclusion: Basically a great hotel in a perfect location – however, the room rate does not justify the location and infrastructure! At these prices, one can expect a 4-star hotel to have rooms in perfect condition.

Monte Carlo disappointment
I had read the reviews on trip advisor and the reviews were positive.
To our surprise the room was ready. This must have been about 10.15 so was a pleasant surprise.
However it was at the end of a long corridor and looking out the window could see the harbour but to the right on the pavement a load of builders rubbish.
We had the feeling the hotel was not busy so is it because we bvia booking.com? As it was early we decided to not ask to be moved.
This superior room was clean but dated and definitely needs a refurbishment. We were not told water was included and only found out our second day. Breakfast at €45 per person was not included and we went elsewhere. Two hand towels were not replaced the next day and suddenly a shower cap in its package appeared the second day - obviously no one checks the rooms are fully prepared.
We feel they are resting on the fact they have a good position by the Port Hercule, but we’re a bit underwhelmed.
