Splendid hotel in a panoramic setting

This hotel features the most stunning panoramic view of the sognefjord and of the mountains and waterfalls surrounding it. Be sure to ask for a room facing the fjord. The owner and staff were incredibly hospitable. This hotel and the town of Ardl is the jumping off point for many fabulous hiking trails and we were often the only ones on the trail. They have a fabulous chef and dinner was standout. We spent 3days/2 nights here and wished we could have stayed longer.

Bad behavior of the hotel boss !!!!!!

This was a few years ago. The first room they had not bothered to replace a window that could not be closed completely. The other room we got it was pretty dirty in the shower. The hotel manager acted like a little shit young when I asked if I could get MEIERI BUTTER for having the butter lying out in room temperature. To use it on the bread. They keep the butter in the fridge overnight and take it out in the morning. Then it's stone hard. When I asked the boss to get dairy powder, he came up with something completely different. He probably didn't show what dairy butter was. He was excited to learn something new. NO LIFT.

Simple hotel with good breakfast

Clean and what you expect from a room with two single beds. Had expected that inventories and decorations were upgraded in recent times. Not sure if this is a disabled friendly hotel. Found no elevator to use (due to capacity I had preferred it). Breakfast was good, all as expected. Good bread. Flinke to be updated and clean up.

Outdated room and bathroom. Restaurant slightly newer with limited menu. Friendly unabababgen at reception upon check out the note was not explained (had something gone wrong during dinner) and asked if it had been satisfactory. Dogs are allowed. Nearby little to do

Very good service

I was very well received in the reception by a very nice lady who informed about everything I needed to know. Three dogs were welcome and she wondered if we had enough space in the room, if we needed something extra. I ate a crazy good beef steak, which can really be recommended. I would love to take the trip again without any doubt. Quiet and peaceful area although the hotel is located on the bankside.
