Great lodging and breakfast. Nice staff!

We asked to check in a bit early after our adventurous rainy drive up from Bergen. As the owner looked up our reservation we mentioned we were in the area looking for my husband’s ancestral home. We promptly got upgraded from a standard room to a suite!
Additionally was Whit Monday (Pentecostal Monday) which (unbeknownst to us) is a major holiday in Norway. We inquired if the restaurant would be open for supper and it fortunately was. (Many stores were closed along the way). We enjoyed a marvelous meal with great service - even though there was one hostess running the very busy restaurant. All the food was stellar - breakfast is included and was generous.
The suite had a nice couch and desk and the hotel was very clean and quiet.
One important note - the drapes were not blackout so if you require darkness to get a good sleep you should bring a mask.

Spacious family room and good reindeer.

Good space in the family room, which had two bathrooms, it was very convenient. Good reign. Good beds. The sofa bed was a little too hard to sleep on. Spacious dining room. Nice service. Me had a great stay at Gaupnetunet and is very pleased.

Value for money and a bit more;-)

Enjoyed it!!! What a lovely hotel for a nice price. Nothing is missing.
Even though the room is simple, it suffices!!! The beds are good, not noisy, good smart TV!!!
Especially restaurant is recommended too!
Staff are very helpful and friendly.
It certainly exceeded my expectation!

Nice staff, especially Mariana, which is her last 2 days to work here.

Anytime again, best starting point for trips to the region.

Great for the category. Room large, clean and very quiet. The restaurant is highly recommended, all dishes excellent. Breakfast just as good. Staff very friendly and attentive. Ideal location for excursions to the region's attractions.
