Peaceful

The hotel is great. The only reason I am rating a four star is because of the breakfast. It was not a great breakfast. The waffle and the fried egg were the best of it, but for the price …
We tried to stay in Flåm but everything was booked, so a 20 min bus ride to the drop off for this hotel was easy enough. It’s in a different fjord but it is gorgeous and we had a skylight in the room that had a view of one of the waterfalls. The room was very clean. Other then disliking the shower curtain and the breakfast, this place was lovely. The breakfast could use maybe more options, but staff was very friendly. The seafood restaurant was amazing. We stayed two nights and ordered so much good food from there. The chefs were great and our server was always working super hard doing a great job.
I had to email the hotel before we came due to a late check in and they were responsive and helpful. So thankful we stayed here and would not change a thing!

Clean room and very good location. Excellent breakfast. Just be aware that the unit we booked, the bedroom upstairs and toilet is at downstairs. The WIFI only worked the first day. We reported to the receptionist but no one came to fix the problem. Otherwise all good.

We enjoyed our Viking room. Such fun! The skylight was a plus. Also, dinner and breakfast was terrific!

We don't need that again

The place is quite nice in the evening. In the morning, however, full tourist buses arrive, which quickly overcrowds the tiny town. The hotel is overpriced. An average room in "Viking style" is absolutely not justified for this price. At least it was reasonably clean. The breakfast was rather mediocre compared to other smaller hotels we had been to before. Anyone who wants to eat breakfast only at 9:30 AM has to live with the leftovers. We would definitely not come back. There are significantly better hotels here for a lower price. We did not visit the Viking village because it was simply too crowded there for us shortly after 10.
Conclusion: Wrong booking, but as everyone knows, you are always smarter afterwards.

Location and view, can't beat this. Also very nice options for lunch/dinner. Overall EXCELLENT !!
