Easter stay at Grotli
During the holiday we took a trip to the Grotli mountain to have a stay at this hotel and enjoy 3 days of sun and skiing in the hill. We were here from Thursday to Laurdag.
--------------------------------------------
♂️ ♀️ Service:
• The service was generally friendly and communicative except for one person from the restaurant who could make an improvement and someone who did not understand a touch of English. But then we switch the bear to Americano
Restaurant:
• The restaurant was a nice three-storey room with 2 large long buffet tables on the cross with a gong you get in and 2 long tables on the sides along followed by two rooms on the side with two-man, four-man and six-man tables.
• Walls of tread, what looks like large logs like on a gapahuk and window placed on the left side to and look out on the road and mountain peaks in the sunset.
• Fine panellights in the ceiling with some mild orange light that dims down the mood and makes it cozy
• Outside the restaurant there is a walk between the restaurant and reception, this had a great interior with a fine raud color that fits the color of the restaurant and the bar next door with two knitted rugs on the floor and marble plates in addition furnished with both chairs and tables with flowers and pictures on the walls that makes it a little better and go through there when you go to the restaurant for breakfast/dinner or in the bar.
Breakfast:
• The breakfast had a good selection of both breakfast blends, bread products, regular Norwegian dishes and some hot food for those who like it. A little American breakfast. Also a little dessert that you could have at the coffee.
Dinner:
Thursday
In the evening there was a lot of people with almost full-book dining room. But here we had a waitress who could really make a better impression. She first came out that we were not at the hotel, but were simply travelers who had to pay for the food after dinner. We were prompted to sign a bill where we were asked to sign the coven that would eat and then pay afterwards. We had to tell them we had a hotel room here and what the room number was before they let us go.
• Foret:
A lot of good selection of good cold foods, fish, meat, smoked, salad of various types and some earlier dishes from the 80s and 90s. The egg ear was a little bulky and looked like the egg had condensed.
Before we were done eating the waitress came back and took both the cutlery and dishes without asking or getting eye contact with us. Frekt.
• Main Court:
A little less selection of this here but still good mettandes and everything consisted of Norwegian original and traditional food. Good for introducing and preserving the right to others. The salmon was a bit blue and had a little too much water in it but otherwise was a lot of the whole top.
• Desert:
Here I did not take so much but the variation was small. Most of it was in pudding and two little cakes.
Friday:
Then we were back one more night for the last dinner on our stay. Today we got a new waitress who was a little more gentle and was a little more willing to communicate. The one who was our waitress yesterday was in charge of the next table. We already saw that there was a good deal more nice to them than was us.
• Foret:
Just like yesterday, everything was in order except the egg ears that once again a gong was condensed and dry. This should be a nice restaurant.
• Main Court:
Today, actually, a lot of the food was tasty but the only one was the pigtail that was a little too salt but can never be too perfect.
Reception:
• The reception was conveniently large with good and warm from a large stove at the corner of the reception which makes it a nice place and be. A whole ordinary reception that was quite nice decorated with books that stood on shelves next to which you could read a little about the hotel's history.
• Very pleasant operation behind the counter that would like to fit on the room keys while you were awake on a trip or ski during the day.
• Very nice and welcoming hotel manager who was good and explain about the program and arrangement of the next few days.
• A nice program board in the corner towards the restaurant that had information about everything that would happen in the next few days.
♫Voice/Noise:
• In the course of the first night there was life in the hallways of little kids from the playroom who had energy and jumped and shed down the hallways in the basement floor where we had room. No adult/responsible was present and they held up for over an hour. Simply disturbing if others are to try and sleep a little after a long day or simply want to have peace and tranquility. Play and ablegøyer rings home in the playroom.
• At 01:25 night to Sunday there was noise and hooking out of the hallway in the basement of drunk people who opened and slammed again ANDRE their rooms doors and talk. This was pure disturbance that makes me at least wake up. Really disrespectful.
The Gang:
• Nice but a bit empty walk, here it was all of simple style with cement wall that was not soundproofing
• Nice but slightly boring carpet without noko special style or pattern.
• The staircase between the floors was nice and well decorated with marble plates in the staircase with a steady railing of tread on both sides of the staircase.
• No elevator? No special handicap friendly. Sorry, think of the old ones.
The room:
• The room was very nice with good interior and a fresh mild pink color on the walls that fit the room quite well, handmade bed table, lamp and shelf in wood made you got a feeling of being in the cabin.
• Own veranda with manual wooden doors that we could open, close and lock and opening in the walls to the neighboring room made it a little cozy when you could go out in the day and health of your neighbors on the other rooms, very nice clean wooden floors with ope way right out in the snow.
• The roof looked a little dirty as if it hasn’t been washed in a while and with a ceiling lamp that was a little doubtful of whether it would fall into the head of us in a quarter of a second.
• No TV? It was a pity, but we had both book, phone and others to entertain us.
• Small panel oven in the floor that we could turn up did good on the heat.
• In addition to the closet next to the beds there were also four knaggar at the outermost hallway you could hang those jackets you used most throughout the day, very rough and efficiently.
• The room in general was very retro style with feeling of proper cabin life.
• The bed was a bit hard and lie on, waking up several gongs at night.
• No positioning of the room? Oh, sorry.
Bath:
• Warm bath always did well with heating cables down to the floor. The bathroom became fast ice cold on the second day with the room, noko which promises bad.
• The floor had marble plates which were nice and clean and stand on.
• The sink had a large height suitable for both small and large feet to stand and care but with a little strange sink that was connected with the shower with a lever that alternated between the pressure on the shower and the sink, a little old-fashioned when you have to use screws and stand on hot and cold water when you are going to shower and it took an eternity to find the right temperature that stayed there for 5 minutes before it became glovwarm or ice cold, not especially manageable.
--------------------------------------------
Termination:
We had a pretty cozy time during our stay here, with some little improvements this would have been excellent. Not good, but not bad either. Can I come back? Maybe, thank you for us!
