Five Stars is Not Enough!

The apartment (826) is perfect, with a great kitchen, washer/dryer, and a fantastic view of Table Mountain. The location is unbeatable, with museums, the national library, parliament buildings, restaurants, shopping and houses of worship within blocks. On a nice, quiet, tree-lined street. For those wanting the party scene, Long Street is just two blocks over. Most of all, the manager, Belinda, is outstanding. She is attentive, responsive and accommodating. Five stars, plus.

Fanastic location nex to the park

Fantastic location. Balcony is not useable because it is on the ground floor right next to a road. There is no TV. Owner is very friendly and helpful. The apartment is app 25 m2 and is a studio. There is no generator so beware of the load shedding.

St Martini Gardens

We booked this apartment last minute for our final days in Cape Town as our previous rental owner let us down badly very close to our holiday. A beautiful studio, very modern but small. Everything is combined in one space but well thought out. I found the transparent glass partition separating the bed from the loo and shower to be off putting. Even if the glass blackened when using the bathroom area, it would have allowed for some privacy whilst sitting on the loo!! We knew there would be no air conditioning and would never choose this again in a hot country, we couldn't even leave the balcony door open at night because one of the doors was off its hinge and this was a hindrance using the balcony in general. We were not left a top sheet, just a heavy duvet in the summer heat so I ended up using my own towel to throw over me at night. The kitchen had no oven/grill so all hopes were dashed of cooking a nice steak. The apartments look quite run down from the outside although spotless inside and the pool area and gardens are well maintained and security is 24/7. We found the final cleaning charge to be excessive, 400 rand for such a tiny space. We stayed in far superior accommodation to this and any cleaning charges were included in the main price. A nice studio but I would not stay in this area of Cape Town again, we had two attempted muggings in one night, if you like to be in the centre of things, go for it, if you prefer a more upmarket area, avoid it.
