A beautiful countryside retreat

We had a wonderful 1 night stay at this place on the way to Port Elizabeth in September 2025. The hosts were very welcoming, the food was great so was the service! We stayed in the Manor House with a Huge room, a double sink shower room and tea/coffee included. The surroundings are serene with sprinbuck running wild and lots of birds. Would love to come back for more than 1 night in the future!

A perfect family getaway

We had a wonderful family stay at this property, perfectly located between Port Elizabeth and Plettenberg Bay. The setting is beautifully tranquil, making it ideal for a relaxing getaway. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and felt very homey, offering excellent value for money. The facilities are amazing - we loved the pool, forest walk, and everything else on offer, and our son still can't stop talking about the experience! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the food was absolutely delicious, and the bathroom and room amenities were a lovely touch. We truly couldn't have asked for more.

Never again! Probably won't be in operation much longer. End of Life

The facility is enormously old and the rooms very ring-shaped. There is apparently no more investment here (would need a total renovation!) There was probably a kid in the next room watching children's shows all day on TV. We heard every word. On both evenings no working Wi-Fi, if it worked briefly, then as in the Stone Age: Backup photos and streaming impossible. Refrigerator in the room does not cool, but makes a lot of noise (absorber refrigerators are completely unsuitable at high temperatures = bad investment). No air conditioning!, the fan was very noisy, almost dropped off the ceiling and unregulated. The summit, however, was the reception from the staff, which was between very distant to absolutely unfriendly. Dinner (buffet dinner) was available for R380.00!? Almost no choice and the food was scarcely edible. We felt this price was a pure rip-off. Value for money out of proportion. “The dead cow is still being milked”

The dinner buffet price of R380 includes a full buffet with dessert. We regret that the selection and quality did not meet your expectations on the evenings you dined with us.

Wonderful stop over

Lovely stop over on the way from CPT to the Eastern Cape. The staff are lovely, the facilities are great. Perfect. Wished we'd spent more nights!

Totally negative

Underground. This place is totally outdated. Not inviting at all. The rooms smell musty. Equipment at the level of the 80s or older. No service at all. Curtains stocky. You just feel uncomfortable and are afraid of vermin We left after a short consideration straight away.
