Casa De Luxe
Nằm ở Ballito, cách Bãi biển Sheffield 12 phút đi bộ, Casa De Luxe cung cấp chỗ nghỉ có hồ bơi ngoài trời, chỗ đậu xe riêng miễn phí và sân hiên. Khách sạn 4 sao này có quầy lễ tân 24 giờ và dịch vụ tiền sảnh. Khách sạn có phòng gia đình.

Terrible was made to feel unwelcome, place is run like a brothel at night
Overall Salt Rock is a beautiful scenic destination however our stay at Case De Luxe was one of disappointment as the night receptionist made my Girlfriend and I feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. The type of person the belongs nowhere near the hospitality industry. I booked a one night stay in Room 102 on Saturday the 29th of November 2025 and here is the problems we encountered on our stay which was supposed to be a nice relaxing retreat from what has been a busy work year.
1. Room was right next to reception with little to no privacy offered.
2. Pool which is advertised closes at 7pm (strange considering one would likely be at the beach until 18:00/18:30 and can swim there)
3. Outside lounge area close to the pool does not allow alcohol to be consumed (also strange how they want you to just stay inside your room and drink while on holiday, a room with no view and no balcony or anything) like what are we hiding? Don't worry i think I figured what the "establishment" is hiding and I'll get to that.
Above was all the things that didn't live up to our expectations and is disappointing but are things which proper advertising can help with to let the customers know what they are paying for. Below however are things which are completely unacceptable and boil down to the behavior or lack there of of one individual (The rude, sexist, racist night receptionist.)
1. When we arrived home from the beach, I realize my car lights were accidentally left on by me, when we get to reception the night receptionist mentions he seen the lights were on but the thing is the night receptionist made no attempt to contact me to let me know, instead he wants to yap on about my headlights being dull and how he can fix then with wax ( trying to promote a side hustle or what?) He mentioned my headlights multiple times throughout the evening which honestly was repetitive and annoying, if I wanted to talk about my car I would go to a qualified mechanic and not some random rude guy.
2. At around 19:15 I asked the night receptionist for an astray which he informed me were by the pot plants located next to the outside lounge area (note I had a beer in my hand when I asked him this)
3. My girlfriend and I went to sit by the outside lounge area to chat about our day and relax, we had two drinks a 330ml Heineken and a 330ml savanna. Mind you it is before 20:00 on a Saturday evening at an accommodation which we payed for.
4. Just before 20:00 the night receptionist walks up to us and starts his tirade about how we can't talk, laugh or enjoy ourselves outside as people are there to have a "romantic time" and don't want to hear about how much we love eachother or our lobola negotiations (I am a white male and my girlfriend is a beautiful Zulu woman) the racist undertone in this statement made my blood boil.
5. He goes on to mention how I mustn't allow my girlfriend to drink savanna as according to him "it makes them loud" another statement with racist and sexist undertones. (Coupled with the fact we were not loud and even if we were the rules state that you should be respectful of noice and keep it down after 22:00 not 20:00. Also neither me or my girlfriend were intoxicated if we were we probably wouldn't of kept our cool when this clown was clearly trying to provoke a reaction out of us. He also threatened to kick us out if we did not comply to his made up rules.
6. I am now going to speak more to what could possibly be going on at this "establishment" at night and why we are told to keep quite and go to our rooms on our vacation. Just before the night receptionist came out to have his rude, racist and sexist tirade a couple came down the stairs and gave me and my girlfriend a dirty look and then left in their black BMW (could they have put in a compliant and because they appear wealthy are treated different from us common people) well that's not the full picture.
7. While the man child is having his tirade, another "couple" come down the stairs and are treated with more respect than we recieved our whole stay, he laughs and jokes with the Indian male and tells him that he will turn of the security cameras for him, why you may ask well I'll tell you, the Indian male returned back from wherever he and his mistress had been and throughout the night woman who appeared to be prostitutes or escorts were in and out and going up to his room. The one blonde lady that arrived at 12:00pm was dressed like a stereotypical prostitute/escort wearing a tiny bright blue dress and thigh high boots.
8. That is the real reason I believe we were treated soo poorly is because the night receptionist is running what appears to be a brothel at night and doesn't want his clients to be exposed for what they are. He mentioned how there are ministers and well off people around and I believe that is why he is switching the cameras off to cover up dirty business at the "establishment"
9. He made my girlfriend feel as though she is my hooker and was just extremely rude to me and more importantly to my girlfriend
10. Another thing that was very concerning is that fact that I seen him coming out of our room when we were coming back from having a smoke, he seemed surprised he got caught and goes on to make another rude and inappropriate comment about how we shouldn't leave our room unlocked because someone could walk in on me and my girlfriend having sex (mind you the reception is about 5 feet away from our room with a clear line of site to the room) who am I keeping the door locked from? Aren't you supposed to be keeping an eye on the security of the establishment? I feel as though people need to keep their doors locked to keep that creep out.
I know this is a long comment but I just don't want anyone else to have the same experience that my girlfriend and I had during our stay and unless compliced I feel as though the owners of the "establishment" should be made aware of what is happening at Case De Luxe and who they have working for them.
I have also attached screenshots from other reviews of the same place posted in the past few months complaining about the same night receptionist with one review mentioning how the receptionist got physical with one of the guests. This is something that should have been dealt with already and I'm surprised he is still employed at Case De Luxe after running it like a brothel, being racist, being sexist, being rude, getting physical with guests, swearing at quests, and turning off security cameras ment to keep guests and their property safe to appease unscrupulous guests.
Note the day receptionist, cleaners and maintenance workers were friendly, professional and welcoming. It's a shame about the one rotten apple who will cost you a lot of honest business.
Hope this is taken seriously by both TripAdvisor and Case De Luxe, I for one will not be returning and will not recommend the place to my worst enemy
