What a view.....
We had a 2 night stay and it was just lovely. The bathroom is soo nice, looking out over the lagoon.. clawed bath, nice big shower... I could have stayed in the bath or in bed all day with the trifold doors wide open, listening to the birds.. the view was just mesmerising.. Our hosts were super helpful with advice (and they do have a super cute doggy!)
Get some wine, open the doors and stay in bed is my advice.. or go kayaking up the river, or take a boat safari with Mike.. he's lovely! All in all, lovely place... small but perfectly formed with an edge of quirky... :)

The most awful experience, I would never stay here again...
Such an unpleasant experience, do not stay here…
Really nothing to like at all- except for the lakeview, and location which made travelling to family in George and Knysna easier. One of the most terrible experiences we've ever had staying at a guesthouse. So much to the point that, we left one day early.
Both spouse and I were stuck in an unlocked toilet- as the door would not open. There is an extractor fan, and it appears once switched on, it creates a suction effect that keeps the door closed no matter hard its pulled, yet its unlocked.
House unclean when we arrived, sheets stained and unclean-see pictures. Dirtbin not emptied from previous peoples' stay. Coffee stains and granules, on kitchen counter from previous guests' stay-see picture. Patio table has cobwebs. Sand behind kitchen sink- seemed like ants and ant hole by the wall.
Very narrow space to walk on pathway, you have to hold onto the wall for support, from one room to the other. Recovering from Cancer with limited balance, nearly fell off the walkway several times. Fan in bedroom covered in dust, and if put on- dust in the air.
Was informed house would be cleaned whilst out, back at 15h30pm-bed still not made, dishes not done; and Dirtbin not emptied-see picture of bedroom.
It appears to be a poorly constructed bedroom and shower(with no curtain/privacy), when showering- the other person had to remain in the other room/ or wait outside. Would recommend the bed needs replacing. When enquiring politely, did not like the tone of voice of Host- when it was said- 'you have to be out by 11am'...

So unhygienic
This accommodation has a beautiful view from the room BUT - the wc can be seen easily from the small kitchen area. THERE IS NO DOOR ON THE BATHROOM. One of us sat out on the balcony if the other one was on the loo. If you put the kettle on, you can see the toilet. The space in the kitchenette is very small. Only room for kettle and microwave so no work surface and nowhere to clean glasses or plates, they have to be washed/rinsed in loo. No outside table to sit and have breakfast and admire the view. IF OWNERS READ THIS, PLEASE PUT A DOOR BETWEEN THE BEDROOM/KITCHEN? AREA AND YOUR TOILET. No one is that liberal to see/hear their other half on the loo. If anyone had put this on a review, I would have cancelled but it had been paid for before we realised.

What a magical place!
This was my first stay in Wilderness after many, many years and it could not have been any more perfect! Wilderness is a place of unsurpassed natural beauty, tranquility, peacefulness...one of those places that just makes your soul happy when you are there and that is exactly what Tequila Moon is too. Rob is an awesome host and just an awesome human being in general. He makes you feel as if you are family from the moment you meet him and enter his premises. Nothing is too big or too small, super attentive without being over bearing or in your face and always up for a chat and a laugh. Check in was an absolute breeze and Rob makes sure that you are familiarised with all the need-to-know info. The property and the rooms are absolutely breath taking! We stayed in Tequila Moon 2 for 3 nights and could very easily have stayed 3 nights more. The room is spacious and beautifully appointed with everything you could possibly need for a few days' stay and the view of the lake from the bedroom is literally to die for. The bathroom is magical! A huge free standing tub with a view of the lake will definitely turn any ordinary night into the most romantic you have ever had without making an effort! The shower is equally massive and you could very easily host a few more people in there if you ever felt the need. The property is beautifully maintained and you just feel immersed in nature when you are there. Even the pool has one of the best views you would probably find anywhere! This was definitely one of the most, if not the most, relaxing stays we have ever had. In fact, we loved it so much, we have already booked our next stay! Book and stay here, you will NOT be disappointed this is how a Wilderness stay is meant to be!!"

Amazing view, beautiful room
Super location, what a view does this room have. The colored birds in the garden are viewable up close! Amazing house, nicely decorated room. Took a refreshing plunge in the owners swimming pool. Friendly owners!
