Had the best stay at KGH in Feb 2026. All I expected and then the unexpectedly lovely courtyard in the centre of the complex (quiet space too)

Beware the local nightclub!

Great location in the heart of Kathmandu with a small garden away from the street hustle and bustle. Rooms large and well-appointed.
However, a number of our group got very little sleep due to the close proximity of a local nightclub which played very loud music until early the following morning (until 6am!!). The evening buffet meal we had there was pretty tasteless, although had an excellent brownie in the hotel coffee shop and there are other places to eat.
Would not stay again because of the nightclub issue.

Great location and lovely setting - quiet plaza in the middle of the property with good dining, coffee and bars.
Heritage property and room layout slightly odd. Huge rooms and comfy bed.
WiFi not great in the rooms and TV didn’t work. Being an older property plug points not where you would need them to be.
Great property for its history.

Great room, very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice amenities. The hotel is located in a great spot. I would recommend this hotel.

Great location, near to shops and restaurants.
The heritage room was a good size. Food and drink was good but could have better wine selection. The Indian food is not freshly cooked.
