I used it last May.
I went there last May. I went to the hot springs here. It is a famous hot spring, so I thought it was once. There was still snow left and I thought I was driving carefully.

For those who want good water
Overnight in late May.
Plenty of leftover snow still around.
Although it is a weekday, many customers visit, including those who take a day trip.
There are many different types of rooms, but ours (as are many) share a toilet and wash basin.
I think it's a bit difficult for women to use it because there's a single washbasin faucet and both men's and women's toilets on either side.
My wife also used a slightly more spacious washroom and toilet on another floor.
I think the view from the room depends on the room, but our room is unique.
There was a lot of meltwater and a lot of water was flowing directly below.
The room was not too big, and the Yokozuna mattress, which was used as bedding, was very comfortable.
Dinner was served in the room, but there was no freshly cooked food and, sorry, the taste was just one.
Well, it can't be helped because it is a ryokan with many rooms.
Breakfast was buffet, but it was also reasonable.
As mentioned in the announcement, the cafeteria was very crowded until about 7:20, and it took a while to find a place to sit, probably because many customers left early for climbing.
Sure, there were more empty seats after 7:30…
The biggest feature of the hot springs is famous for the mixed-bathing of a thousand people, and the left side is the men's changing room side, so the right side of each tub is treated as a women-only space, so you can't soak there.
Basically a few women come here for bathing, but I felt a bit wasteful because most of them are men, except for the women-only hours, which are set for 8am-9am both at night and in the morning.
The tub in the foreground is gushing at my feet, but it is difficult to tell from the experience.
I don't think there is much water gushing from the amount of water that overflows.
In the back tub, hot water was poured from a pipe, and this one was hotter.
In the ingredients list, this hot water seems to have more ingredients.
Both have strong sulfur springs and aluminum smells, which makes them very effective.
It is also high in metasilicic acid, which makes the skin smooth after bathing.
It is, after all, a wonderful hot water, both traditional and not, so I think people who want to enjoy it should visit.

Charming Historic Inn and Onsen
We simply love this Ryokan, which is a traditional Japanese inn, and not a modern hotel. We chose the rooms with the shoji screens, tatami mats, futons, and hot tea, with the bath down the hall, and we were very comfortable. The room was charming and spacious, and we loved the antique character of the space. Because we spent so much time in the onsen, we slept very well. The meals, which were included, were excellent.
You can opt for a more modern wing, but either way, enjoy this inn for what it has to offer, for the historic nature, setting, character, and fabulous onsen.
