The hotel is located on a little hill side, so there's a lovely view, one side of the room has the ocean view (see image), the other side of the room has the spectacular snow mountain view (didn't take image).
The hotel building itself believe is a bit old, so the rooms and bathrooms are a bit dated, but you can tell they try to modernize as much as they could, like very new aircon, new hairdryer (there's one old one attached to the wall which doesn't work, but the new one is in the drawer), TV etc. Bathroom is a little rundown, but it still function fine. The room key was really a "key", which you also have to insert into the wall and turn it for lights and electric in the room, it's quite retro and interesting, and it's the first time I've came across this kind of system.
Hotel restaurant was the same one as the we stayed in an other city, and food standard was the same - which was good.
Breakfast was superb, we loved it.
Overall the experience was good and we were happy with our stay.

Business hotel
Some of the hotels are much newer n better maintained. This is a slightly older hotel as some of the features in the room are obvious giveaways. The hairdryer is sticker to the wall and there are no power outlets besides the beds.
Other than that, this hotel delivers the same expectations as the other Route Inn. We like the stay.
Sleep was comfortable and free carpark n free breakfast included. There is a huge supermarket besides the hotel if you need any food or drinks or snacks.
The 7th storey hotel is one of the tallest building in this city.

Cheap, clean, convenient. Excellent breakfast!
It is a twenty minute walk from the train station. If you go out the west exit of the station, just go south down the main boulevard. You will see the large Hotel Route Inn sign.
Just across the parking lot is a supermarket and around the corner is a diner. There are some other restaurants nearby but there's a better selection near the train station.
The hotel has a onsen which I did not try.
Good, free internet.
Hotel is not far from the ocean but there's no beach.
