What a fantastic experience! This hotel has everything for an up-and-coming holiday feeling: good location, nice atmosphere, brilliant breakfast, beautiful interior, pleasant rooms... We can only be super positive about this, especially considering the value for money. Do it!

Avoid this hotel, grumpy staff and really dirty.

This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed at, alarm bells should have rang when we pulled up, there were no porters just trolleys for you to use yourself. There were no early check in rooms so we left our luggage in a very good luggage room, with lockers and locks for large cases. We saw straight away the carpets and soft furnishings were filthy, stained and very old, and the staff were extremely grumpy. Our room was small, one side of the bed was pushed up against the wall, so you had to crawl in to get into bed, the wallpaper torn, the carpets thread bare and stained and dust and dirt under the furniture, the towels were thin and old. They have eco cleaning, if you wanted more you had to pay, by the state of the room how about no cleaning at all, we only got one coffee and the cups were left dirty the three nights we were there. There were private functions at the hotel on our second night, so there was not a bar or restaurant we could use, reception offered us for 4000 yen pp approx £20 to go into the executive lounge, so we did, the food had stopped as we walked in, but there were some nuts, so we had some drinks, we clearly peeded a lady member of staff off, as at 2155 she came over to my husband and grabbed his drink from his hand and said we are closed, perhaps we had to many drinks, but have never been anywhere where you were limited to just a couple. The breakfast wasn’t great, cheap food, ice cream and donuts, we chose burgers as they were cooked fresh, we sat under a grill in the ceiling which was full of dust. We did go to the bar for a drink one lunchtime, as our friend’s were leaving, and tried to get some food, a very limited choice but we chose a pizza, it was small cheap rubbish. This is a great location if you getting on or off a cruise, but in the bay there are two much nicer hotels, use those, they are still in the bay overlooking the sea. Avoid this place like the plague, In my opinion the management must be at fault, as the staff are unhappy and the place is filthy.

We booked this hotel 6 months ago and asked for a quiet room. They put us next to a family with a constant crying baby in and out of their room and balcony banging around. It amazes me that they had 6 months to manage our request!! However the room itself was really nice and an amazing outlook over to the sea. The breakfast was average. We did go to the roof Terrace twice for a drink and found the head bar man unhelpful and unfriendly. We asked to try the house wine which comes by the glass before ordering but were faced with a rather direct and blunt ‘NO’ which we found awkward. Not a great experience and the hotel ultimately misses out on business.

The location is near the port , far from downtown. It has shuttle bus to go to the station. However, it is unclear where and when to pickup from the station when checkin to hotel. When riding the shuttle to downtown, the driver is so rude, dropping us at different location near the station, but would not answer how to walk to the station from where he drop us off.
The hotel is so out-dated and I will rate it as a 3 star hotel.

Excellent value for money. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything I needed for my stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient for exploring Kobe Port. For the price, the quality of the accommodation exceeded my expectations. I would happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Kobe.
