Great location, welcome retreat
We had forwarded our suitcase and it arrived before we did so the staff had already delivered it to our room. Our room was an okay size, long and skinny with the bunks on one wall, a table and chairs to sit at, a small fridge and wonderful Japanese style bathroom. It was a shame the windows were frosted and faced directly into the building next door but the air con was efficient. We welcomed the coffee and pastries in the lounge area each morning. And the staff were helpful in forwarding our suitcase on to Tokyo on our departure.
Unfortunately a fire alarm in the building next door woke us up at 3am one night, but that wasnt Rinns fault. The rest of the time we slept soundly as the hotel is tucked away from the bars and restaurants of Gion, but close enough to be part of the vibe

Very comfortable stay here, but beware the size of the WC.
Located in Gion (high recommend this area) the hotel blends in with all other buildings in the street, so to a UK based traveller it looks somewhat unassuming and more akin to a travelodge type of property. This was definitely much better than a travelodge.
Modern, warm, inviting, boutique-ish, with a lovely smell as you walk in. Reception staff are polite, and helpful (forwarded our luggage for us - if you use this service have all your hotel details to hand incl hotel phone number)
Our room was on the ground floor, so easy in and out. We didn't hear any noise from anyone passing our room. Windows open to let air in, a room freshening spray is provided, the aircon works great, the lighting is nice, beds comfy, separate toilet (but its tiny - if you're a large person, or have mobility issues you may struggle moving in this tiny room) . Shower room is compact, but the shower is good. Hair dryer was great as was quality of shampoo, conditioner etc. Amenities are located in reception, help yourself.
Free nespresso machine in the lobby, help yourself. We loved this feature !!
Washing machine room but we didnt use it.
All in all a wonderful stay in a nice quiet part of town, but still close to all that Gion has to offer.
