great value for a solo traveler. clean bed and bathroom, for a tall american the bathroom was a tight squeeze but can't complain with the price and value of the place. great staff that was very responsive.

Very disappointing. Very misleading. Balconies on the ground floor are called "terraces" ;p

Very misleading details given on the site I booked and when I got there, I discovered "room with balcony" was in fact a ground floor with a small terrace (where the aircon unit was) with a wall in front of it.
When I went back to check the photos online, I noticed the wall in front of the terrace was strangely not visible. Breakfast was absolute minimal, one roll, one currant bun and jam (they had no jam the next day). Thankfully two convenience stores down the lane mean you get a decent breakfast for a day of adventuring around the lakes.
Even though it's a new building, it carries noise really badly, so those staying next to the communal area are likely to be disturbed by the echo of people talking and the scraping of chairs and tables on the floor.
I felt deceived by what they'd promoted online vs reality of what you get. Very disappointed -
You also have NO view of Fuji, given the hotel is set deep into one of the bays on Kawaguchico lake.

The staff was very kind but only somewhat helpful. The room above ours had kids running around until 11 PM at night. Staff at 9:45 they would have them quiet down but didn’t, and when I checked back in around 10:45 no one was at the desk or could be reached by the phone provided at the desk. Beyond this, the breakfast that’s included is really a bread roll and coffee from an automatic coffee machine. There are plenty of convenience stores nearby to pick something up, but thought the limited scope of breakfast offered should be highlighted a bit more. They do have a communal microwave to heat things up, and synced properly washer, dishes, which was really. They advertise having a laundry room, but full disclosure, their washer dryer costs ¥2000 per 6kg load, which seemed expensive relative to the prior properties we stayed at in Japan, but perhaps that’s normal for the Mount Fuji area? We ended up not trying it because we didn’t have 20 ¥100 coins, so I can’t speak to how well it works.

The room was very clean and comfortable, checking in was reasonably easy checking out was also easy. They don’t necessarily serve breakfast, but you get complementary coffee, tea juice as well as they have some bread rolls to choose from.
It seems to be more in a residential area, but that is not necessarily a bad thing, you can also rent bikes from them at your leisure. It is very convenient for exploring around the lake area by Fuji.

Location is good. Less than 10mins driving from Oishi Park or town center . Walking distance to art museums and Hoto noodle restaurant. View of Mt Fuji is good. Room is in a good size. Staff is helpful.
Hotel is very clean. Has bikes for rent. Parking is free.
Only regret is breakfast is simple. Only buns and drinks.
