The rooms are clean and big. Breakfast is very good. The have a lot of choices for breakfast. Price is reasonable for the type of services that they provide. I will definitely book again with this hotel.

The only thing I can say is they are close to the JASDF air base.

The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. That's where the positive review ends. The advertising states they have a restaurant on the premises. That's not entirely true. Yes, they have a restaurant that serves a buffet style breakfast, but other than, you better not get hungry during the day, because the restaurant closes by 9 or 10 am. The advertising also states that they have air-conditioning, they do not have air-conditioning in the rooms, which makes for a very humid and uncomfortable stay to say the least. What is is about Japan? For such an advanced country they sure lack basic amenities inside the hotels. It seems as if they enjoy perspiring and being sweaty all day. Very disappointed. I wish I had stayed elsewhere or not come at all, it seems like ALL Japanese hotels are the same. Tiny rooms and sweaty, humid/damp rooms. They can avoid the toothpaste, toothbrush and shaver crap (who travels without their own toiletries?) and give the guest a comfortable climate in the room to sleep in.

Enjoy Your Stay at the Misawa City Hotel

I stayed here for 6 days in February 2019. The hotel was clean and cozy. The staff was always eager to assist and make your stay enjoyable. I used the humidifier in my room after the staff showed me how to use it. Made my sinuses feel so much better. At the check in counter they have a basket of items that can be borrowed free of charge. These items included Febreeze,etc. Great idea! Also they sell a variety of Ramen and soups that can be prepared with just hot water. They have a business center that includes the use of a foot massager. Self service laundry with an iron and ironing board. They have a restaurant that provides breakfast as part of the room charge. It includes both Japanese and American type foods. This same restaurant serves lunch and the menu comes in English and the food is wonderful. Everything is really tasty and the price is affordable. There entrees include miso soup, vegetable, rice and tea. The rooms are comfortable. They include a mini frig and bottled water comes with the room. The bed is comfortable and the non smoking rooms really have no smoke smell in them. The housekeeping staff is always courteous and quiet. After a snow storm the hotel used a snow plow to move all of the snow from their parking lot. Previously they were just using a snow shovel to clear the walkways. A little hotel with a small time charm. I enjoyed staying here in Misawa.

Second Stay

I stayed here a couple years ago during a business trip and nothing has seemed to have changed. The hotel and it’s furniture are dated but clean and tidy. The front desk and room service are to notch. This seems to be a typical Japanese business hotel, conveniently located near to Misawa AB front gate.

Typical Japanese Hotel

Came here for two nights and it was average small room with the basic stuff. Japanese TV channels (about 10), extra small fridge, hard bed and pillows. The internet is really slow too. They have a breakfast buffet that was pretty good and the staff is friendly. They also have vending machines on every floor where you can get soda, tea, beer and snacks.
