Grand Hotel

Beautiful hotel located minutes from Kintetsu-Nara Station, various restaurants, and Nara Park. The entrance is grand and fit for a five-star hotel. We only stayed one night at this hotel, but we wish we could have stayed longer. The staff is both professional and friendly. The lobby was comfortable, with ample seating available if you needed to wait to check in. Right outside the entrance, there are numerous restaurants and shops. It was easy for us to enjoy our time, as everything was within walking distance.
The room was impeccably clean and large compared to other hotels in Japan. The bed was firm, and the pillows flimsy, but that seems to come standard in Japanese hotels. The best part of this room was the large bath. After a long day of walking, there is nothing I appreciate more than a hot bath. All amenities are available downstairs in the lobby, including basic necessities and some more unique offerings, such as various teas and facial masks. The addition of the water filtration systems was also appreciated for refilling our water bottles. We would stay again if we ever return to Nara.

First-class hotel in a prime location – we will be back!

We had an outstanding stay at the Iroha Grand Hotel Kintetsu Nara Ekimae. The hotel's location is unbeatable: It is located just a few steps from the subway station, so you can reach the sights of Nara and the surrounding area super quickly. The entire hotel is very clean, modern, and absolutely well-maintained. The amenities completely convinced us – we lacked nothing during our stay. The staff was attentive and the comfort was top-notch. For us, it's clear: We would love to come back and can only highly recommend this hotel to every visitor to Nara!

Excellent Location and Nice Property!

Location: The location is fantastic, close to lots of restaurants, bakery, great dog shop for gorgeous doggy kimonos, supermarket, shops, temples and Nara Park is about 10 minute walk uphill or you can get the shuttle bus at the bus station nearby. It is very close to the train station which was great and was pretty easy to find. Despite only staying two nights I think this hotel was in a very convenient and wonderful location for what we wanted to see and do.
Breakfast: Not included in our rate but a good bakery is very close by for lovely pastries and drinks.
Staff: Staff were friendly and helpful.
Bedroom: We stayed in a room with two single beds that were pushed together which worked out perfect for us. Bed was comfortable and room was clean.
Would highly recommend as it is in an excellent location. You wouldn't really need transport for a short stay.

Would definitely stay again

Beautiful hotel. Nice rooms. On a quiet street with nearby stores. Breakfast can get busy so go early. They offer both Western and Japanese foods.
