I was surprised that the hotel didn’t complimentary waters for the guest and simple amenities such as body lotion, shampoo etc

As you mentioned, our hotel is a little far from the center of Sapporo, but there is a large park and a subway station nearby. We are very relieved to hear that you had a comfortable stay.
Our hotel does not provide free bottled water in the rooms, but there are vending machines available in the building.
Shampoo, body soap, hair conditioner, and hand soap are provided in the rooms.
Lotion, razors, etc. are available in the lobby on the first floor. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by our lack of information.

High grade for a business hotel!
I stayed at Hotel Mystays Sapporo Nakajima Park, which, as the name suggests, is located on the east side of Nakajima Park, and was about a four-minute walk from the nearest subway station, Horohirabashi.
Was it a different hotel before? The hotel itself is not big, but it was a pretty nice hotel with a bit of a high-grade vibe for a business hotel.
When you think of business hotels, there are many that offer a free breakfast in a lobby-like place, but this breakfast was in a slightly nice restaurant on the basement floor.

Average Hotel off the Beaten Path
We paid over $200 US a night, so we were expecting some amenities. The hotel's ambiance is stark minimalist. The disappointments we encountered is that the rooms are showing some wear and tear. The bathroom was so tiny, the toilet was right up against the tub and sink counter and there was no room to stand to use the sink!
They do not offer any amenities in the room. Most hotels in that price range we stay in Japan have a tea pot and condiments in the room such as tea bags, coffee etc. No bottled water provided (usually you are offered at least two complimentary bottles upon arrival.)
Would not recommend as there are other properties in the same price range that offer more.

At Nakajima Park, located in front of the hotel, you can enjoy seasonal scenery such as cherry blossoms in the spring and autumn leaves in the fall.
If you are in the area again, please choose our hotel.
