Outstanding location and a lovely hotel.
Location, location, location. Right in the middle of bustling Shinjuku with the Golden Gai pub strip directly behind the hotel. Actually, it is smack bang in the red light district but that made it all the more exciting and interesting.
Within close walking distance, we accessed train terminals, the Love Statue (for two tours), the Cat Board, Godzilla and countless restaurants and bars. There was a Lawsons convenience store on the ground floor and a Seven-11 10m down the road.
We chose the Citadines because the room sizes looked more than adequate. Our room was excellent and big for Tokyo standards. Two king single beds, excellent pillows and a bath tub with separate shower too. Of course the toilet had all the bells and whistles of a Japanese toilet too. A big plus were the free amenities, the delicious coffee bags and tea varieties available and a totally awesome and free coffee machine in the foyer. Harry, at the front desk, spoke perfect English and helped us check in and out without a glitch. My only little gripe is that the breakfast at ¥19500 is really quite ordinary with limited selection. Two rounds of excellent sandwiches at Lawson’s is less than ¥500.
However, despite this one insignificant issue, I would recommend the Citadines Central Shinjuku for anyone who like excellent hotel facilities and locations and also really wants to see Tokyo and the nightlife. Two thumbs up guys!!

The perfect base for exploring Tokyo
This is a straightforward, practical hotel that's perfect if you're looking for a convenient base to explore Tokyo. The rooms are compact, as expected, but not uncomfortably small. Most importantly, the rooms were always spotlessly clean. Every day we returned to freshly made beds, neatly arranged rooms, and clean towels, which made our stay even more comfortable.
The biggest highlight is the location. The hotel offers the best of both worlds - a front entrance that opens onto the lively, bustling streets, and a quiet rear entrance tucked away from the crowds, giving you a peaceful buffer from the city's energy. Almost everything we wanted to see was within walking distance, and the metro was easy to access.
The staff also made travelling hassle-free. We were able to send our luggage to our next destination smoothly and efficiently, and the whole process was simple and stress-free.
If you want a clean, practical, well-located hotel that makes exploring Tokyo easy, it's an excellent choice.

Good hotel location, with Lawson convenient store just below. I would like to compliment front desk Mr Ali , we had a good talk and very caring after hearing my incident. Hotel lobby have free refreshments 24hrs. Keep up the good work!

I won’t stay in this hotel again.
As a solo traveller. I didn’t feel safe walking in and out of this hotel. There were always a bunch of men situated in the street close to the hotel that will try to talk me up each time I came in and out of my hotel which made me very uncomfortable. They looked
Like they were ip to no good. The hotel itself was okay, it did have a distinct sewage smell that I didn’t like. Personally will never stay here again.
