The traditional style of the building made for a very cool stay, the room was nice and felt spacious and the beds were comfortable to sleep on as well. I also loved the plants and neighborhood that surrounded the ryokan too. All made for a very comforting stay.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. When I was looking for a Ryokan, this was more or less what I was expecting. There is a bathtub that fits both a bath, and the regular shower. The bathroom is separate. The staff is mostly Japanese and some broken English, so when you do stay here, it is a good idea to brush up on some Japanese, or at the very least come with a good translator. The rooms are also spacious.

A Japanese-style inn in Yokohama is also good.

It's good to sleep in a tatami room in a Japanese-style inn. Rooms are larger than business hotels.
I knew it, but it's inconvenient that both the washroom and the toilet are outside. But it was a decent room because it was close to the water.
The cleaning is thorough.
The bath is full of about four people.
Half of the customers looked like Inbound, but they didn't pass each other, so they didn't come close.
It is made in the same way as a wooden private house, so it is weak against sound. The group arrived, and they were excited and noisy, wondering if they were returning from a banquet. However, we didn't have a party in the room, so it subsided after about 10 minutes, but if it got exciting in the room, it was over.
About a few minutes walk from the station. Maita Station is 12 minutes from Yokohama. No rating as I have not eaten. The attendants are responding well. If you go through the accommodation reservation site, you can only pay in cash, probably due to fees.

A Stunning Secluded Haven of Serenity

The minute you arrive at this isolated Ryokan style resort overlooking Matsushima Bay you can’t help feeling relaxed! The stunning spacious timber indoor architecture and a requirement to only wear the slippers and ‘pyjamas’ provided to you, creates a relaxed anonymity. We had to request size L large as we are 2 big Aussies.. There are two divine indoor/outdoor ‘hot spring spas’ that are really a ‘must do’ experience. We enjoyed the live music in the lobby at night, and the Glass Museum too. I found some lovely Japanese crafted gifts at a reasonable price in the resort shop. The meals offered a sensational example of fresh high quality local produce, seafood and meat. If you can’t manage to sleep on the comfortable mattresses on the tatami matting floor, there are a few western style beds available. All rooms have western style ensuites and stunning views over Matsushima Bay. Take a cruise on the local ferry or just relax in the spacious gardens.
