So friendly people

This guesthouse is a little outside the city center of Hakuba which require a 15-20 minutes walk. However, the owners were extremely friendly and always proposed us to drive us anywhere in town. They were very helpful and friendly. The guesthouse itself is charmling and the room was spacious enough and clean. A freat budget place to stay in Hakuba

Fantastic stay!

We had a very pleasant and fun stay at the Hakuba Today Guesthouse. Kyoko, the friendly host was very kind and informative. And we had some laughs with her and Andy while enjoying their tasty cooking and hot sake. Private room was perfect and facilities very clean. Great place!

Recommend staying here

Highly recommend staying here. Kyoko, the host, was very kind and caring. I caught dengue fever in S.E.A and brought it to Japan with me, she looked after me so well, she cooked me food and even took me to the doctors/train stations so I can get to the hospital! She is our Japanese mum!
The dorm was a little bit crowded but the private rooms were spacious.
Wi-Fi and food was good. Beds were comfy.
Definately staying here again.

Cheap, cozy, clean and great host.

I spent two weeks in Hakuba Today to snowboard in the surrounding ski resorts. Hakuba today is a small guest house but it has all for backpackers - a kitchen, a big dry room, laundry. And the most importantly, close to supermarket and ski resort shuttle bus stops.
I stayed in the dorm room. Its tiny so don't expect to have a lot of space for yourself, but thats ok cause there were not many people in the guesthouse. The room is warm, the bed is very comfortable, bathroom's great and clean.
The host, Kyogo-san, is a very nice Japanese women who can speak English. She is so helpful and friendly. Great host ever!
I think this resort is a good cleap option for backpackers.

Homely and comfortable stay

We stayed 3 nights and absolutely loved our stay. The hosts were incredibly friendly and drove us to/fro the guesthouse on our first and last day. We enjoyed a comfy stay as the rooms, kitchen and toilets were clean, location was superb, wifi was good. We get our own private rooms at a budget, hosts were friendly and even served us complimentary fruit after our dinner. We enjoyed chatting with them and they had a really cute toy poodle which was a plus, will definitely visit again.
The guesthouse is located in Hakuba Cho area, 7 min walk to the large supermarket and 2 minsfrom the Hakuba 47 free ski shuttle bus stop (misorano kan) on route A. There was regular hourly shuttle bus service between Hakuba 47 and Goryu which was convenient. Today guesthouse is not located in a party area but you are able to enjoy some night life at Escal Plaza or Echoland etc by taking the Genki Go night shuttle. It is only 2 min walk to the genki go night bus stop outside Today Guesthouse(keika restaurant) on the blue, green and red routes.
Lastly, the view from our rooms were beautiful, there's mountains and greenery behind the guesthouse. Great for a walk if you feel like it.
