Exceed Expectations

An outstanding place to eat and enjoy a fabulous family friendly environment. The meals are large and value for money and beyond expectations. Service is with a smile and a genuine desire to provide an evening to remember. The warm cosy fire on a wet winters night makes the Irish style pub welcoming and relaxing. We will definitely return next time we are in the South Island . We are rather jealous we do not have this type of friendly value for money establishment in our home town of Mt Maunganui .

Great Place to Stay

We really enjoyed all aspects of staying at Donegal House. The staff catered really well for all of us - a large family group and friends - from ages of 7 to 72. The rooms were really nice and fitted into what we were doing really well. We were given breakfast dishes and cutlery as breakfast wasn't provided but they were happy for us to bring our own. There was a refrigerator in each room, and it was very handy to have meals available on site. We will definitely go back next year. Thanks to all for looking after us so well.

Fantastic meal and friendly family pub

Friendly welcome when we popped into this pub. The menu was varied and the presentation and taste was wonderful. Good price and very enjoyable.

Feineas Pub food

Nearby we stayed and for dinner we were recommended the Donegal House, and rightly so. Large portions, well cooked, at fair prices. Can we only recommend

Excellent food provided by a fabulous team

Had a couple of drinks and dinner at Donegal House tonight, it was excellent.
We had one dish each, monkfish tails and Irish stew. Both dishes were lovely.
We were very well looked after by the team, including a ride back to our accommodation.
