special view

We had all the basics, and we cleaned every day, so we were comfortable. The view from the room is amazing. The weather was good and the stars were clearly visible from the front of the room.
It would have been better if the shower hadn't been stationary.

Perfect accommodation

You can see snow mountains from the window, the scenery is great!
The interior equipment is surprising, especially kitchen utensils.

Great place to stay

Great place to stay with beautiful views. The room was spotless, and check-in was seamless. Easy to locate and close to many attractions and facilities around Mt Cook. Highly recommended!

Stopover

Expensive for a motel, but we slept well, it was warm, and it is ideally located. Too bad the sheets were wrinkled and a bit dirty.

Spectacular Alpine Setting

Nestled in Mt Cook Village, the location is perfect for nature lovers. Step through the sliding glass door and you're greeted by the stunning mountain views. It's quiet, serene, and surrounded by the Southern Alps, close to trailheads, such as the Hooker Valley Track or the Kea Point walk.
Room/Facility: (4/5)
Rooms are generously sized and comfortably appointed. The bed is very comfortable, and the shower delivers excellent hot water with strong pressure – a welcome relief after a day of hiking. Be aware that there is no in-room safe for valuables, and the TV is not a smart TV so you can forget about your Netflix series and focus on enjoying the nature.
There's no on-site restaurant, and limited options in the village especially during the winter season. You'll need to stock up on groceries in Twizel before arriving. The kitchen is reasonably well-equipped with basic cookware, utensils, and a fridge/hob. However, there is no oven, and cooking oil is not provided – so bring your own oil and any specialty ingredients. It's a self-catering setup that works well if you're prepared, but don't expect a full gourmet kitchen.
Service: (5/5)
Staff are genuinely warm and enthusiastic, happy to answer questions, and offer detailed advice on local trails and sights. They know the area inside out and will help you plan your day.
Overall: 4.5/5
Aoraki Court offers spectacular mountain views, comfortable rooms, and friendly local expertise in the heart of Mt Cook Village. The self-catering setup requires a bit of planning, but for hikers and nature enthusiasts, the location and comfort more than compensate.
