backpacker hostel

There are no cheap hostels in Valle de Anton but this one is the best price you will find. The atmosphere is cute, it is a typical backpacker hostel and the people we met staying there as well as the staff were all super nice and helpful with recommendations on things to do. Our room was a good size but we were in the back corner of the property so neither the wifi nor the hot water reached our room which was pretty disappointing based on the price we paid. Either way they had coffee in the morning and the property cats were really cute so I would still recommend, but maybe not our particular room.

Wild..

I stayed in this hostel for 3 nights. The rooms like all the structure is old and dirty.The owner seems like doesn't care much about it..as well as the workers. The staff members is young and prefer to chill all day..instead of giving informations to the guests. The only good about the hostel is that is closer to the hiking spots then the other hostels.

Relaxed atmosphere, perfect place to stay

We were looking for a campground in El Valle and found the perfect place in La Casa de Juan. We were welcomed very warmly by the stuff and they were helpful with every question we had.thx guys. There is a grassy campground next to the mainhouse, where you can set up your tent or take one of theres if you dont have one. We could use the kitchen and bathroom facilities(cold shower), everything was clean and good equipped. It was not very crowded when we stayed there, so we had a chilled and relaxed stay. There are also 3 dogs and a curious cat ;) its close to the most attractions and just a 15min walk to the local fruit mercado. They have dorms and privat rooms as well. We loved the atmosphere @the hostel.would definitely stay here again.

Not for everybody

Typical backpackers place. Good vibe and friendly owner. It's one of those stops you can make when you are rested and want to save some money. You can't really expect perfect comfort for the money you pay. The dorms are next to the living area for the whole camping as well. So you sleep when the last goes to bed and you'll wake up when the first ppl do. There were 2 shower, not very clean and only one had warm water. Also lots of ppl from the camping maked use of the shower in our dorm so literally everybody could walk in and your room without a place to store your valuables. Somethings just can't be changed but maybe creating a different chill area for late at night and early in the morning. Extra showers and lockers would make a big difference. Nevertheless thanks for our stay and good luck in the future

Cheap and Cheerful

This is exactly what you would expect from a backpacker hostel.
Cheap, cheerful and friendly staff, decent kitchen, a little bit out of town but El Valle is a safe area and it's well lit.
Reasonable beds in the dorm. Would definitely recommend.
