Best place you can stay in Boquete
The best place to stay in Boquete! If you’re looking for a peaceful beautiful experience where you feel like family then this is the place for you. Lorraine is an incredible host and a fabulous chef! The breakfasts and dinners are absolutely delicious and come with the best view in Boquete. There’s also plenty of animals that add to the experience. The coffee tour cannot be missed. Of note it is a windy road to get here but we had no issues at all with our small car.

Great stay at Eco Horqueta with Coffee Tour
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Horqueta Eco Lodge. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the genuine warmth and hospitality of the hosts, they made us feel welcome and cared for throughout our entire visit.
The food was outstanding: fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with great attention and love. Every meal was a highlight in itself.
One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the coffee tour. It was incredibly interesting, well-organized, and gave us a deep appreciation for the entire process, from plant to cup. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting.
Overall, this place exceeded our expectations. A perfect combination of nature, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality. We would come back anytime.

An unforgettable escape into nature at Eco Horqueta
If you are looking to truly disconnect and immerse yourself in the wild beauty of Boquete, Eco Horqueta is an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the magnificent views and the peaceful atmosphere of the bungalows. They are perfectly clean and offer a level of proximity to nature that is incredibly relaxing. The experience was made even more special by the resident dogs and cats, who are simply adorable and add such a warm, homey feel to the lodge.
The heart of this place is undoubtedly the host, Lorraine. She is incredibly welcoming and truly goes above and beyond for her guests, showing constant availability to help with any request. Communication was a breeze as she speaks English fluently and has an excellent level of French, which made us feel right at home. She made our lives so much easier by arranging taxi reservations and handling our entry permits for Volcan Baru National Park. Even the logistics of being a group of four without a car turned out to be no problem at all; thanks to the contacts Lorraine shared, we reached the lodge easily by taxi, and we even managed to take the local bus back after hiking the Quetzal Trail.
Lastly, the food was a highlight of our stay. Every meal, from breakfast to dinner, was excellent. A special shout-out goes to the lunch packs, which were genuine morale boosters during our hikes. For anyone seeking a stunning location and a host who treats you like family, I cannot recommend Eco Horqueta enough.
One piece of advice: don't make my mistake of trying to reach them by email, as it can be difficult. Instead, contact them directly via WhatsApp; you’ll get a very quick response to all your questions.

Wonderful experience in nature with fabulous food
I spent two nights at Eco Horquete with my adult grandchildren and we had a marvelous time. We all agreed that the meals and the coffee tour were two of the highlights of our week-long trip in Panama. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the hotel and they were all fabulous. One day we ate outdoors on the terrace and another in the dining room. I requested vegan meals and they were outstanding -- some of the best vegan meals anywhere. The coffee tour was so very interesting. Tasting the sweet and juice coffee berries was a first for us as well as roasting the coffee beans. The rooms are simple but comfortable. Sustainability did not mean we had to give up any creature comforts. Electricity, wi-fi, and hot water all worked very well.
I recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys nature and good food and appreciates a sustainable lifestyle and organic coffee. Let me also add that our hosts, Lorraine and her mother, couldn't have been more welcoming. It was a pleasure to get to know them. They are great hosts!

Live on a coffee farm nestled on a mountainside above Boquete with views of Volcan Baru
A chance to experience the geography and lifestyle on a coffee farm / finca in the mountains above Boquete. The property is lovely and interesting and the cabins are cozy. Your delicious breakfast is prepared by chefs trained at culinary institutes, and you have the option of dining in the lodge or al fresco on the deck in the evening as well. Take a book onto the deck and a pot of tea and watch the hummingbirds. Enjoy the mountain sounds at night and birdcalls and howler monkeys off in the distance in the morning. We made our way to town or most days and took several guided walks and hikes. We took the collectivo buses back to EcoHorqueta like the locals do. We saw rainbows and hummingbirds and Volcan Baru from EcoHorqueta and a view all the way to the Pacific from the road. Lorraine and her family and staff are truly hospitable, friendly and caring people who get to know you and help you to enjoy your time there and in Boquete. I look forward to returning one day.
