Best place to stay in Trinidad.

Stayed here for 2 nights. A magnificent and extremely economical inn. The owner is attentive to everything you need and always willing to give you a hand. The otherwise exceptional location on return from the entrance to the Mission of Trinidad, have a very good restaurant in which you can eat very cheap.

Wonderful place to stay in Trinidad

I stayed in many hostels during the 9 week South America overland expedition I recently completed. This is the only review I plan to write. Maria runs the back of the house. Her young son Hans is the host. Maria's cooking was phenomenal. Hans could not have been more helpful. They grow a lot of the food on the grounds. The homemade Ice cream was second only to a famous shop in Buenos Aries. The room was great. There were several cozy outdoor sitting areas. I really loved it there.

Just wow

Mary and her family have the eye for detail! The whole interior is coordinated, it is super clean, the beds comfortable and most importantly: It has a TOP location to the ruins and is quiet. For food: Finally vegetables on the plate again and for breakfast almost everything is from own production / cultivation. The sourdough bread is a dream! Their knowledge of land and people is also fantastic for anyone interested in more than just the ruins. The price / performance ratio is unbeatable. And if you're just passing through: Be sure to stop here for some delicious scoops of ice cream

Friendly and comfy family owned posada in heart of ruins

Would highly recommend the family owned Posada Maria which is clean, charming and has yummy food. We arrived on a Friday afternoon in time to see the sunset from the Trinidad Jesuit ruins (about a 5 min walk from the posada). We walked back to have dinner (a la carte) and then back to the ruins for the light show. One ticket will get you into all three ruins. The next day we were treated to a home made breakfast with eggs, sausage, lots of different homemade German style breads and fruits. Delicious! We then visited San Cosme and Damian on Saturday with dinner in Encarnacion. Sunday was a final breakfast and then to visit Jesus de Taverangue. There's a fridge on each floor that is on the honor system and they also have plenty of water and ice to fill up your terere and homemade ice-cream. Will definitely be back. You can also buy the home made jams to bring back as a souvenir.

Great Place

We stayed here for 2 nights. It was perfect. Family run hotel which made us very welcome. Rooms were clean , good air con. Free WiFi. Small clean swimming pool. Breakfast was all home made produce. Food was very reasonable priced. Could not recommend more
