BAD EXPERIENCE

I do not recommend this hotel. It is opposite the train station. The noise is constant, the noise adds up in the internal corridors. You can't rest. The smell of burning enters the room. The staff is not friendly.
Honestly, I don't recommend it.

NO!!! NO!!!! NO!!! AVOID, PLEASE!!!!

I hope those who read this post are not as naive as I am: the agency offers me this "3-star" hotel (3 out of 10, it should be) in my "Machu Pichu package. Since it was 1 night and the pictures didn't seem so bad, we accepted. EVERYTHING was a disaster since we arrived: the girl who came to us, more pending her cell phone than us, at the reception they give you the key and say "take a picture to the WIFI key" (she never walked in the flat), our room was that of the photos but it was not in the same condition, there was a pool of water in the bathroom (loss of toilet) that we asked to clean while we went to dinner and they did not, we had to reclaim (it dried up and lost again .. so it lacks basic maintenance), the hotel is in front of the train station and at 5 AM they start the engines of the machines and you can not sleep anymore, it was cold , there is no heating and the only stove that we found in the hall was not walking, the breakfast is "basic-basic", there was no sweetener, we left luggage in consignment and they do not deliver ticket ("leave it there") and to take it out there is no control, the armchairs of the hall with the broken upholstery, the employee more concentrated on her cell phone than in what happens in the hotel ... It is a scam that they consider this "hotel" of 3 stars, I very much regret that I stayed there and those who read this post I welcome you to reserve your own hotel without agency and consider that it is a little removed from the tracks.

Bad experience! Do not recommend!

Oh, bad! The agency that organized the trip booked this hotel and I did not look for references! By the photo it looked great! And as it would only be for one night, it would not be necessary anything luxurious! But it's bad, it doesn't have an elevator, it stays next to the train station with a hellish noise in the room until dawn! You hear all the guests walking and turning on the showers on the other floors! We arrived tired, late at night and couldn't blink our eyes to sleep! The room we stayed in had no windows, claustrophobic! That was the bad point of the trip!

Fun vibe but loud and pretty basic

This is a fun hotel if you’re in a trekkie mindset and want to be close to the action. The room was clean with comfortable bed and did have a nice view. But we felt a little deceived by the pictures and description. We had no idea the hotel is directly above the railroad so the roon rumbles with the sound of trains until late into the night and even once in the middle of the night. The thin walls means no sound protection which was nerve racking with our alarms set for 4Am to see the sunrise on Machu Picchu. But in a different phase of life we would have loved this room. The little balcony overlooks the bustling little town and railroads and mountains. It’s a big step up from a hostel but not the tranquil balcony room overlooking the mountains like we thought. So as long as you know what you’re getting into it’s great and a great price. The staff was excellent - super helpful and kind. They let us store our luggage after checkout while we spent the day at Machu Picchu and offered to prepare sack lunches.
The bathroom was less impressive than the picture with windows that open to the hallways, rickety and flimsy shower doors, and scratchy towels. But again, it’s all about expectations. If you’re in a trekkie and economical state of mind this is your place. If you’re looking for a quiet view of the river and mountains, not so much.
