A very nice place to stay for a reasonable price - hotel «Las Cabañas» is located in Chucuito. This hotel is located in the very center of the city. Before going to bed, you can walk around the main landmarks of the city..If you travel by car, you can park in a parking zone for free. The tour assistance desk of the hotel will help you book an excursion. At the guests’ disposal, there’s also a chapel. The staff of the hotel will be happy to talk to you in English, Spanish and French..Here’s what you’ll find in the room to have a rest after a long day: a shower. Please note that the listed services may not be available in all the rooms.

isolated but beautifully located house

(English down) las cabañas son casitas bonitas con un jardín maravilloso en un pueblo pequeño muy bien situado al lado del lago y los cerros.
la dueña te da buena ayuda, pero teníamos la sensación que nos cobró extra por la ayuda. la comida es buena pero las porciones son pequeñas. si quieres vino con la cena pagas la botella y no es barata.
puedo concludir que hemos tenido días bonitos y recomiendo una estancia el las Cabañas!
las Cabañas are beautiful houses with a nice garden in a cute village. it's situated close to the lake and the beautiful hills around it.
the hostess is helpful but a real businesswoman. you pay a bit extra for the service and things (trips) she organises. the food she serves is good, but simple and small portions. if you want wine with the dinner you pay for the whole bottle and it's not cheap. altogether we have had a good experience in the house and got good help from the hostess and her husband.

cozy and rustic

A charming cabin like lodging. Chucuito is a tiny town outside of Puno Peru. If you want something quite and cabin like this is the place. We stayed in a room downstairs with an enclosed front porch ( green house style ) and our friends upstairs. Each room had it's own fireplace and in the evenings we played cards on the porch. Simple, rustic, quite, no phones, no tv. We would definitely go back.
I gave it 4 stars because your kind of on your own, it may have been low season for them since we were the only lodgers at the time. We made contact with the owner in Puno and then a taxi ride to the cabins. From time to time we would see a grounds keeper or maintenance man who answered our questions and would bring us firewood etc. He only spoke spanish which was fine for us.

A déconseiller !!!

Cet hôtel a dû avoir son heure de gloire, mais là il est en pleine décrépitude.
Les chambres ne sont pas propres, le dîner, quelconque, était servi dans une salle complètement impersonnelle. Nous étions d'ailleurs les seuls clients.Petit déjeuner plutôt correct , mais près peu copieux. Eau froide pour la douche. Seul petit point positif, moyennant 10 soles nous avons pu avoir un peu de bois pour faire une flambée dans la cheminée de la chambre, ce qui a été bien utile, la pièce étant très froide.
Désolés, mais nous trouvons que cet hôtel est à éviter.

QUEL SOUVENIR DE CETTE PREMIERE ETAPE DE NOTRE VOYAGE PERUVIEN!!!

Nous avons connu cent fois mieux dans des villages isolés et reculés du Népal!! Accueil zéro, cuisine triste, salle à manger où nous avons manqué nous asphyxier avec un poele à pétrole défectueux, propreté douteuse....à éviter

Excelente escape

Fuimos para salir de la rutina un fin de semana, los precios son muy buenos, nos alojamos en una habitación con chimenea, que nos cayo perfecto para el frío de la noche. El lugar da hacia el lago, lo que da un espectáculo a la vista siempre.
El lugar tiene jardines bonitos y un comedor muy grande y acogedor. El Sr. Palao es muy amable y siempre trata de hacerte sentir cómodo.
