Aurora in the room! What an experience
Check in was quick and efficient. The property had on site activities like the Huskies, Snowmobiles, Kids Snowmobiles, the Reindeers and Sauna. We were allocated room 24, which required a little bit of walking. We broke our luggage the last time we had to pull our luggage on the melted snow and gravel at our last accommodation, and we were relieved that the property had a luggage cart for us to borrow. But still, it required a lot of efforts to push the cart to our room.
We booked ourselves a family aurora cabin which came with a king-sized bed and a sofa bed. We felt the room was adequate for the four of us. The bathroom was OK with the basic amenities you need, although we felt the position of the toilet a little weird. The bed was pretty comfortable, but the sofa bed unfortunately was not great. The portable heater in the room was also a nice amenity provided in the room.
The variety offered in breakfast was pretty good, although you may have nearly exact options every day. I personally enjoyed the buffet dinner more. The menu changed every day and we tasted different types of Finnish food. The Reindeer meat was tasty!
We did Snowmobiles for 4 hours, Cross-country skiing, Aurora on Sleigh as well as the Sauna experience. We enjoyed all of them. However, if I have to be honest, it would have been nice if the property would cancel the Aurora on Sleigh as the weather was not good on the day.
We were so lucky to have had the chance to see the aurora from our room. This was definitely once in a lifetime, what an epic experience.
