Exceptional Experience!

Brand new hotel of the Wilderness Hotel brand. Superior quality hotel with a 5 Star chef serving an incredible breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. The Arctic Sky Villas are nestled in the natural landscape of the property with wood burning fireplaces and personal saunas. We booked several great excursions through the hotel - snowshoeing to the Gold Mine and the Aurora Hunt by Car (2X) and the guides were very knowledgable and fun. Can't wait to return next winter!

An unforgettable stay in Lapland

Excellent location and friendly, helpful staff. The villa is very well and comfortably furnished, making it a great place to relax and unwind. The dinner is outstanding and of very high quality. Breakfast is also excellent. The Northern Lights alert app was very helpful.

Late March Getaway

Location is beautiful and serene, surrounded by nature that makes the stay peaceful. The rooms are warm, extremely comfortable, and thoughtfully furnished with Nordic touches full of charm with the property exactly as shown on their webpage. Extremely nice staff (especially in the restaurant, Erika muchas gracias ;) ) and on-site dining with tasty food to a really high standard. Please do try one of their cocktails.
Was overall a memorable getaway, just be mindful of the local weather conditions when planning activities.

The most amazing stay in the most perfect location!

Wilderness Hotel Saariselka is located around 1.5 miles from the centre of Saariselka in the middle of the surrounding forest and it's just a perfect location. So peaceful which makes you feel calm and relaxed from the minute you arrive. It was so quiet you couldn't hear a thing when stepping outside you room and the view from our room (number 120) looking directly into the forest was just amazing.
We didn't close the curtains after the first night just so we could have that view from our bed as soon as we wake up. The bathroom was exceptional with a good sized bath, separate shower and a sauna! It was so nice to come back in from the cold and warm up in the sauna.
The room was perfectly clean on arrival and well maintained during our stay.
Yes this hotel might cost more than some in the area but we decided that this special holiday needed a special hotel and it really disappoint!
A warm welcome on arrival where we were asked to sit down while the lady working on reception checked us in. We were provided with a warm berry drink while being checked in.
The receptionist came and sat with us and handed us our room key and told us a little about the newly opened hotel and explained where to go for breakfast and dinner and any booked activities. The most comprehensive check-in I have received at any hotel.
Each time we walked in to reception we were greeted with a smile and a 'how are you - how was your day?'
The bar was fantastic with local and imported drinks served and the food was also outstanding.
We had a hire car so could easily travel around the area and it was so lovely to return to our little haven in the forest.
Our stay here was the icing on the cake of one of the best holidays we have ever experienced, truly magical!

Absolutely magical 3-night stay at the Saariselka Wilderness Hotel. Friendly and welcoming staff, excellent food and the private jacuzzi and sauna were a wonderful indulgent treat! Highly recommended, would love to pay a return visit!
