Wow! We will be back.
The buffet breakfast was a highlight; and the shortcut through the trees made walking into the beautiful town very easy. All the staff were extremely friendly. The pool area was beautiful with plenty of loungers and towels. We didn’t use the spa as the weather was so nice, but it seemed expensive at €20 per person per hour. We also didn’t eat in the Michelin starred Rotunde restaurant as it didn’t suit our 10 year old daughter, but the menu looked amazing and if we come back as a couple we will definitely use it.
The only negative I would have is the drinks were expensive in comparison to the town. It was €12 for a large beer and €16 for an Aperol; even soft drinks were expensive at €9 for a coke. That being said, I would not hesitate to come back here again, we loved it.

Terrible dinner experience
How disappointed were we when we arrived and learned that they had changed for the summer and that Tuesdays and Thursdays they were now doing a “guinguette” dinner (which is not what was booked in the first place - brasserie dinner at l’Atelier was booked and nobody told us about that change in advance).
We experienced a very poor quality meal. We ordered two mojitos before our meal (that were horrific - not even made with crushed ice, limes that looked 10 days old and mint leaves with dirt all over) that arrived after our starters and the wine.
The guinguette menu is very poor in choice and very expensive for what it is. Choice of two starters - tomatoes mozzarella or cucumber tzatziki. Main course, either fish or meat - fish was okay but no description given of what 3 fishes were served and meat not nice at all - sirloin steak was tough and not eatable, poultry was chewy. We were not given any knives for 10 minutes after we were served our hot main course which became cold. All the other tables were served bread and we were not.
Desert was very bad - choice of either strawberry soup with what felt like a 3 days old madeleine and a blueberry tart that barely had any blueberries on it and with a biscuit that was hard as a rock. Even the table next to us complained about it.
The whole experience was not to the standing of a 4 start hotel with a Michelin star restaurant and the barbecue idea is not great especially when the smoke blows right in your face during the whole meal.
One positive was the rose and the view. Service was just okay as we did not receive our mojitos as expected, no bread, no knives. When asked at the end of the meal if we enjoyed and we explained what happened, we were told that it was only the 3rd service and that some things needed to be adjusted. Needless to say that at 175€ a meal for 2, this was a very big disappointment.
We were excited to try the Atelier and have choice on the menu and spend a wonderful evening eating French cuisine and instead of that ended up leaving very frustrated as this ruined our birthdays celebration.
